当年，吉利群岛还只是许多旅人寻找一片热带天堂时会顺路停留的一站。来自龙目岛的17岁当地青年 Dayat 漂到了这里，在岛上落脚。起初，他靠零散的海滩工作勉强维生，直到有一次帮了一位丢失银行卡的游客。没有什么英雄事迹，只是一点真诚待客，却意外带来了回报——那位游客后来拿出一笔钱，让 Dayat 开起了自己的旅游柜台。 后来，他遇见了 Hannah，一位很懂营销的英国人。两人一起把这个不起眼的小柜台做成了一家公司，一门后来在岛上站稳脚跟的事业。但这并不是什么童话故事，而是一段靠着韧劲一路撑出来的经历。 成功并没有让他们忘记来时的路。如今这对默契搭档的 Dayat 和 Hannah，始终觉得自己有责任回馈当地。于是，他们发起了“English Club”，用一种很实际的方式回应龙目岛工作机会不足的问题。给当地孩子上英语课，由生意的收入来支持。就是这么简单。 Dayat 很清楚，英语往往是打开更多工作机会的一把钥匙；再加上 Hannah 的英国背景，两人便把课程办了起来。他们赚到的钱不只是进了自己的口袋，也真正投入到这个项目里，帮助当地年轻人为更好的未来做好准备。 游客也成了其中的一部分。English Club 不只是教室，更像一场文化交流。来访的人和当地人自然相处，孩子们也能在课本之外练习英语，大家彼此都学到了一些新的东西。 但2018年的地震突如其来，English Club 也被迫按下暂停键。Dayat 和 Hannah 只能调整重心，把精力放在灾后社区重建上。 这家公司早已不只是一个成功的生意，也成了坚韧精神的象征。创办人 Dayat 和 Hannah 不是只会仰望远方的理想主义者，而是真正把事情做成的人。他们把一次偶然的善意，慢慢变成了一门蓬勃发展的事业，也变成了支持社区的一套力量。这个故事说的与其是梦想，不如说是在脚下大地都在震动的时候，依然卷起袖子，把事情一步步做出来。
