Overall experience is awesome! Our guide Rusto is great, the Jeep tour is arranged nicely. He was punctual for our pick up and drive us safely to all the destinations! But since it’s a tourist spot , do expect crowded jeeps on top of the mountain. Once you see the sunrise it’s super worth it! And the Jeep driver photography skill is tip top! Please ask them to take the photo for you.

We had a fantastic Mount Batur Jeep trek. Sarwa, the driver picked us up from our hotel in Ubud on time and drove us to the starting point of the trek. Wayan took over and we reached the sunrise point. The sky was full of stars and he clicked very nice pictures of us, and then also clicked very nice photos with the sun rising in the background. He was very patient and never hurried us to leave quickly as we were flying our drone. The entire trip was just perfect and we are glad we did it!

We had an incredible time on the Mt. Batur jeep trek. We were staying in Ubud and were picked up at 2:50am, we had tea upon arrival and then started up the mountain on the Jeep for about 20 minutes. We opted to have a guide take us to the peak and the hike took around 45 mins - 1 hour; we are pretty inexperienced hikers so depending on your level of experience, you may be able to do it in less time. Once at the top, we had a nice breakfast while watching the sunrise. It was a little chilly but they had jackets and blanket available for rent, we rented some and were glad we did. Our guide was so kind, he stopped for breaks whenever we needed them and helped carry our jackets once it got a little warmer. I’m pretty clumsy so he helped me up & down the mountain, holding my hand & guiding my steps whenever necessary. I believe his name was Katur, though I’m probably spelling that wrong. For me, the hike wasn’t overly easy but it was worth it and I am so glad we did it!
