Uluwatu
A LITTLE NOTE FROM US
Uluwatu is our favourite corner of south Bali - dramatic cliffs, serious waves and amazing sunset views. Come here for advanced surfing, cliff-top beach clubs and the famous Kecak dance (very crowded- but the setting is epic).

Know before you go

Why go
Uluwatu is famous for its cliff-side temple (where an epic kecak dance takes place), and its world-class surf breaks with seriously epic waves. It is also famous for having some seriously glam villa, gorgeous beach bars and hidden beaches where you can escape the crowds.
What to do or see here
Come here for the surfing (for advanced surfers!), hidden beaches (some of the nicest beaches in Bali!), the beach bars and the kecak dance. If you just want to see the rugged coastline of Uluwatu which feels very Game of Thrones, you can see Uluwatu from the water on a traditional jukung (fishing boat)!
Top Tips
- Check out the hidden beaches of Uluwatu - try Green Bowl, Tegal Wangi or Gunung Payung!
- If you're up for a serious adventure, head out on a jukung boat across the waves of Uluwatu coast. It's not for the faint hearted but bring a beer and a group of friends, and you'll have a ball!
