What a delightful tour this was! Wayan and his family were so welcoming and warm and it was truly inspiring to hear and see the important work they are doing to conserve the local firefly population as well as the magic and wonder that nature has gifted us with. Wayan and his team of scientists were informative and passionate about their work it was very cool to know that these efforts are taking place. Wonderful hospitality from the moment you walk onto the farm to the moment you leave. Such a satisfying experience, I cannot say enough. Perfect for travelers who want a unique, educational and magical experience!

Putu's team Ayu, Agung and Made met us at Pura Mengening, a quiet, beautiful temple and greeted us warmly. They brought us Balinese clothes to change into, taught us about the significance of the canang sari that we prepared to be left at the temple, and guided us through the entire Melukat ceremony in an intentional way. We never got to meet Putu on the day as she was not feeling well, but she communicated with me about it and we felt very well looked after even without her around. I would highly recommend this to anyone wanting an authentic Melukat experience.

I loved very much the atmosphere quiet and peaceful far from the jungle traffic,as the patience and calm of my teacher... I found everything perfect, materials, balinese dress and time organization... I have to say also that's a lot complicated make these canang sari as understand the correct disposition of all the flowers cause everything simbolizes something else so it's important for me that someone who knows explains it to me! Really fantastic experience that i highly recommend..keep patience and never stop trying 😍 Special thanks to Ita and Niha🫶

A thoroughly enjoyable experience. We learned so much about a part of Bali not often visited by foreigners. Initial worries about my 8-year-old son being able to keep up on the trek we're quickly allayed. Our guide, Mr Nalom, took care to engage with us and answer our questions on the locals, their traditions and culture. Our trekking guide, Mr Gede was likewise very knowledgeable about the rainforest and looked out for my son the whole time, even weaving a crown of aloe Vera leaves which delighted him. The Getaway Camp made sure we had a detailed packing list and had water and snacks provided for in the car as well. The highlight was definitely the hidden waterfalls that we had to ourselves almost the whole time we were there. Definitely recommend and would bring the rest of the family to join in other tours. Thank you for the warmth and local experiences.
