Review Body: We were very fortunate to stumble upon this tour as a last minute book on our travels between Ubud and Sanur Myself and my kids aged 9,12 & 13. My kids as always were skeptical of the activity but honestly, they were mind blown and had an awesome time! We were lucky to have the Mepatigan crew all to ourselves The experience was like no other. The village, completely hand made, is unique and beautiful We were in awe. So many different activities and the food was delicious. It’s an expensive experience, especially when paying for 4 of you, but honestly I believe it was worth every $ I wanted my family to have a unique, authentic experience and to connect with locals and each other and that was definitely achieved today Thank you Putu & family ❤️

Review Body: Mepantigan Bali is a very unique, artistic, nice, cool, natural and comfortable place for refreshing while enjoying the beautiful natural scenery with mud coffee. Besides that, there is a tradition of wrestling in the mud which is famous in Mepantigan Bali with the initiator of his brilliant idea, namely Om Putu Witsen as the owner of Mepantigan Bali, he made the tradition of wrestling in the mud to honor Dewi Sri (The Goddess of Rice) and establish friendship and kinship with very important things. unique. I salute and admire the brilliant ideas of Uncle Putu Witsen. Wish you all the best, good luck and God bless you om Putu Witsen and Mepantigan Bali Come to Mepantigan Bali guys. The location is strategic and easy to reach.

Review Body: It was so much more than just mud wrestling. It was a true balinese experience. We felt we got to try culturally rich and fun things. The hosts were lovely and very entertaining. We did tug of war, dancing with bamboo, mud sauna, mud massage, sparring with pads, tried freshly made coffee n tea n alcohol. They also performed for us and showed us many animals in their compound. The food they served buffet style was delicous and we were encouraged to take more. Really had a great time! Will come again! (Only disappointed that I couldn't take more photos as we did activities nonstop. XD) Thank u for a wonderful time!

Make core memories with this seriously unique day out in Balinese village life
Mepantigan Bali offers a truly one-of-a-kind experience that combines Balinese martial arts with a mud-based experience. The mud-based activity is a fun and exciting way to immerse oneself in Balinese culture while enjoying the beautiful natural scenery. Participants engage in a variety of activities, including mud wrestling and games, which encourage a sense of connection and respect for others. The experience is suitable for all ages and fitness levels, making it an ideal choice for families and groups of friends. The significance behind the Mepantigan experienceThis experience was created by Putu who wanted to pay homage to local martial arts as well as combine it with Balinese traditions that honours the native environment of rice paddies and jungle. It’s also a way to get back in touch with nature for adults that may have lost touch with it since childhood. Before the prevalence of smart phones and the internet, many children in Bali would entertain themselves by playing in the mud of rice paddies by playfully trying to throw each other into the mud.Visiting a place like this allows the Balinese to showcase their creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and their own interpretation of what is important to them. It’s important to acknowledge the way people want to be seen, not just what we as travellers think is important to see.Mepantigan Bali is not just a fun activity; it's an opportunity to reflect on the importance of connection, respect, and sustainability. It's an invitation to step out of your comfort zone and embrace a new perspective on life. Whether you're interested in martial arts or not, this experience offers a chance to deepen your appreciation of Balinese culture and take a step towards a more mindful and sustainable way of living. What to expectGet dirty in the rice mud paddies while playing fun games like- muddy tug of war, Kecak body painting with Papuan dance along with Gamelan (Balinese traditional music). After all the muddy thrills, relax with a mud sauna paired with a coffee scrub and freshly brewed local coffee! Once you've freshened up, enjoy a delightful healthy lunch or dinner at Mepantigan's traditional bamboo house. The host only uses natural ingredients and cooks it using firewood.Approximate travel times with moderate trafficFrom Ubud - 25minFrom Canggu - 1hFrom Kuta - 50minFrom Seminyak - 55minFrom Uluwatu - 1h30min
