Review Body: Gili Divers gave me an experience I’ll never forget. I signed up for their Try Dive, which started with an hour of pool practice to get comfortable, and from that moment I knew I was in good hands. The instructors are not only highly skilled but also genuinely caring, they make sure you feel safe and confident before heading into the ocean. I’ve always been uneasy around the sea, but my instructor, Sergie, made the whole process effortless. Once we were underwater, all I had to do was breathe, equalize, and take in the stunning marine life around me. I felt completely at ease and could truly enjoy the magic of diving without fear. This was easily the highlight of my entire trip. If you’re considering scuba for the first time, don’t hesitate, Gili Divers will make it an incredible and worry-free experience.

My instructor Elisa was amazing — super friendly, patient, and made me feel completely comfortable the whole time. She explained everything so clearly and kept me calm and confident underwater. Review Body: Went diving with my partner and had a phenomenal time. We did the Discovery Dive. Our instructor Adrian was patient, knowledgeable, and assisted us throughout the dive. Highly recommend Gili Divers for either an intro to diving or their open water course. Felt safe and confident. Our photographer Soizic was fabulous as well! Stunning video footage.

I started doing a discovery dive and she was so supportive that I felt confident and comfortable enough with her to go through and complete my open water cert. I would recommend asking for her by name if you come to Gilli to learning!!!

Itinerary Description: Theoretical immersion on coral biology and identification Learning the process and equipment needed for coral propagation Assessing suitable areas for a coral propagation nursery Collecting naturally detached coral fragments from the reef Transporting coral pieces carefully to the shore for propagation Cutting coral fragments into smaller pieces to stimulate faster growth Securing coral fragments onto live rock for stability Placing propagated corals into a nursery for safe growth
Itinerary Day 2
Itinerary Summary: Coral collection, propagation on the beach, and nursery planting dives.
Itinerary Description: During the morning, students dive to collect broken fragments of coral and the substrate collected the previous day. Bring corals and substrate onto the shore for Propagation on the beach! Dive to plant the fragments in the nursery so they can grow big and strong!
Itinerary Day 3
Itinerary Summary: Coral biology session, coral identification, fragment collection, propagation, and nursery placement
Itinerary Description: Knowledge Review & Nursery Dive Morning: Knowledge review session (2 hours) Reinforce the theory behind coral propagation and its environmental importance. Afternoon: Dive at the nursery to check on the propagated corals (1 hour) Assess the growth and health of coral babies. Total Course Duration: 3 Days Each day consists of 1 hour of diving (with some time for the collection or nursery check), along with 3-4 hours for theory sessions and coral propagation activities.

She is also an SSI Ecology Specialty Instructor, teaching courses on marine life, fish, corals, turtles, sharks, and invertebrates. Dieses Tauchzentrum wurde 2010 von Jenny und Neill gegründet, nach vielen Jahren Erfahrung in Thailand. Aus einer kleinen Strandhütte entstand so eine der etabliertesten Tauchschulen der Insel. Mit einem vielfältigen Team von Tauchlehrerinnen und Tauchlehrern aus aller Welt bieten sie alles an – von entspannten Tauchgängen bis zur Ausbildung auf Profi-Niveau bei mehreren Zertifizierungsorganisationen. Der Betrieb ist komplett ausgestattet mit Booten, Unterkünften und Trainingspools, sodass Tauchen einfach und gut zugänglich ist. Gleichzeitig sind sie stark in der lokalen Gemeinschaft engagiert, unterstützen Umweltinitiativen und bilden lokale Divemaster aus. Heute wird das Tauchzentrum von Jill und Nicolas geleitet und bewahrt seine offene, entspannte Atmosphäre, ohne bei der Qualität Kompromisse zu machen – für Taucherinnen und Taucher aller Erfahrungsstufen. Ein Ort, an dem man sich im Wasser und an Land gleichermaßen zuhause fühlt.
