Review Body: I highly highly recommend a visit here. I wanted to check out and organic farm while in Indo and I'm so grateful I found Saifana. Right away, we were greeted with the warmest welcome. The host rememebered and referred to us by name throughout the day we were there. We wanted to stay overnight but they were fully booked and I now understand why. We did a cooking class with a young girl who spoke excellent English and together we created the yummiest meal with super fresh and organic ingredients. We couldn't finish it so they put it in the fridge for us and heated it up for us to have for dinner. THey have a little "shop" and a library and some board games in the cafe. Everyone was so so lovely and the whole farm just has really good vibes. I would go back to Lombok just to go to this farm!

Review Body: What a lovely place! Great cooking class! We heard about this place through a friend, and we are glad we have been there! The atmosphere is very relaxing and very friendly, we feel that is much more than just a business, but a big family wanting to share. The staff is lovely, products are excellent with very fair price. We took part of the cooking class and we loved it ! Thanks to the lovely staff !

Review Body: Its magic on every level, a beautiful space, people and food. The Sasak Cooking experience is fabulous in the outdoor kitchen cooking over fire. Nia and her assistant walk you through some of the local Sasak customs around life and food and by the end a veritable feast is produced. It’s very special, come hungry!

Review Body: A fascinating experience to learn about bees, and especially the stingless trigona bee, native to tropical areas. Juli is a super knowledgable guide who's enthusiasm and curiosity for bee keeping and farming is infectious. This close up encounter with the bees, learning about their ecosystem and lives (think Game of Thrones level of palace intrigue) makes this typically threatening creature a truly admirable point of interest. Highly recommend!! Walking around the farm and seeing all super interesting and tasty plants (cashew nuts, mulberries, bananas!) around is a bonus!

Review Body: Such a great experience! 🐝 Juli was super informative guide and somehow made me way more interested in bees than I ever expected. Learning how important they are to the farm’s ecosystem was eye-opening. Tasting honey straight from different hives was honestly a core memories, each colony tastes different, which felt like a honey tasting flight 😄 Seeing how they harvest the honey without hurting the bees was really cool too. At one point it genuinely felt like watching a National Geographic episode… but live. Highly recommend!

Review Body: Friends and I went on a weekend trip to saifana and participated in their garden tour and cooking class. I can only recommend the place! Their knowledge and passion for regenerative farming is incredible. You learn so much. The family and staff have the happiest vibes. The food is all fresh from the garden. And the animals (along with all of their personalities) are the icing on the cake. ☺️

Review Body: Hidden gem with great staff and delicious organic food straight from the garden. We definitely enjoyed our stay a lot with our family of four. Kids played the whole day in the garden, guesthouse and with the kittens. We did a couple of workshops and learned a lot about gardening and the trigona bees. We recommend this place if you like to live close to nature.

Review Body: Saifana is a magical place. The food was some of the best we’ve had in Lombok. The team here is warm and welcoming and had so much knowledge to share about the garden, the bees and the cooking. It was very special to share this experience with our family who was visiting Indonesia for the first time. Thank you to everyone at the farm.

Spend a slow afternoon in the Lombok countryside cooking with local Sasak women
This is a lovely way to experience Sasak culture through something very everyday: food. You’ll harvest ingredients from the organic garden, then cook with local women using the same family recipes, traditional tools and firewood stoves they grew up with. You’ll make two vegetable dishes, two protein dishes and a traditional dessert, but the best part is everything that happens around the cooking. Over tubruk coffee and conversations, you’ll learn about Sasak customs including sarongs and betel nut traditions, and hear stories about village life that you wouldn’t get from simply following a recipe. It’s relaxed, hands-on and very personal — less about mastering Indonesian cooking techniques, and more about understanding where the food comes from and the people and traditions behind it. Your visit also directly supports local women sharing these skills and keeping them part of village life. What to ExpectHarvest ingredients from the organic gardenCook five dishes over a firewood stoveLearn traditional Sasak tools and techniquesShare tubruk coffee and local traditionsSit down together for a communal mealTake the recipes home with youGood to KnowJoin-in experience, around 2.5–3 hoursBeginner-friendly; no cooking experience neededTransport isn't included but can be addedRecipes are provided after the classWhat to ExpectHarvest your own ingredients from a peaceful organic gardenCook two veggie dishes, two protein dishes, and a traditional dessert over open fireUse age-old kitchen tools and techniques passed down through generationsLearn about Sasak traditions like betel nut, sarongs, and tubruk coffeeEnjoy a communal meal at the farm

Lerne deinen Gastgeber kennen
