Review Body: Our 3D2N Klotok trip through Tanjung Puting was one of the highlights of our entire trip to Indonesia. The scenery is itself beautiful and serene, as you peacefully drift past luscious forest. A huge part of that made our trip special was our guide, Vanessa. Her knowledge of the orangutans and local wildlife was incredible, but what we truly appreciated was how deeply she cared about the bigger picture. She taught us about the balance between generating income for local communities through eco-tourism, and protecting the wildlife and environment that make this place so special. She spoke about it with real passion. We left feeling not just educated, but also genuinely invested in the conservation work happening there. At one point, Vanessa helped translate as we spoke with some of the children living in the local village. She guided us on how to be respectful, considerate visitors, and it felt like she was an advocate for the local community as much as a guide for tourists like us. The other boat staff were extremely kind and attentive. The food was delicious, with regular fresh snacks and meals throughout. They catered for vegetarians brilliantly, nothing felt like an afterthought. The boat itself was really clean, with bedding changed every night. While there are a few insects after dark once the boat is parked, the mosquito net over the bed takes care of that (also, bring DEET!). Beyond the orangutans (who are obviously wonderful), it's the whole package that makes this trip special: the scenery drifting past on the river, the nights under the stars, and the people who look after you along the way. If you're lucky enough to have Vanessa as your guide, you're in wonderful hands.

Review Body: I generally dislike organized tours, but this one was simply perfect. We are sailors, so arrived in Kumai on our sailboat, where Nina quickly met us eager to help in any way she could. She handled getting diesel for us, disposing of our garbage, and also gave us a ride to the grocery store (included in the price). They picked us up from our boat the next day for the tour, and had a helper stay onboard in the cockpit while we were away to keep an eye on things (again, included). The tour itself was fantastic. The boat was as promised. We had a group of 8 of us, so I was concerned there wouldn't be room for all of us. In fact, there was TONS of space. Our chef was amazing. 3 delicious meals a day, plus snacks and treats throughout the day. Honestly, the food situation was perfect. We were all happy, even kids. Our guide (and also a guide in training) was very knowledgeable, answering all of our questions. They were constantly stopping the boat to point out things that we would not have seen. I'll even mention the captain and his assistant. I'd expect a captain to just be blindly driving the boat up the river, not caring about monkeys and whatnot. But instead, these guys were stopping the boat all the time. They weren't just sitting there not paying attention, they were always on the lookout for us. When we returned to our boats it was raining hard. Nina made sure that a covered boat came to transport us from the ship to our boats. All in all this tour was perfect from start to finish. I can't recommend Nina and her sister highly enough. In a town full of tour guides, Sisters goes above and beyond.

Review Body: This is a wonderful relaxing tour to do in Borneo. Sister tour company was very well organised, punctual and delivered what it promised. Our pre tour communication was with Mr. Tio who was very responsive and timely addressed all our questions and concerns. We actually selected this company because of the timeliness of responses as other companies we contacted in PKN were less quick to react. We forgot our binoculars and the company provided them on our request which was a nice touch. Our guide was Poncho who was very attentive, knowledgeable, enthusiastic and really wanted us to have good time. Our chef cook was Ira who delivered delicious meals every time and was very cheerful. The captain and captain helper were very professional and masterfully navigated the boat through the narrowest passages. Th boat we got was very basic but it was fully sufficient for the 2 night tour. We saw a great variety of wildlife during the night walk and along the banks of the river. The orangutang at ranger stations were amazing and it was extremely interesting to watch them. This tour is definitely recommended for anyone interested in both wildlife and human efforts to rescue and rehabilitate animals.

Review Body: We went on a 3-day, 2-night boat trip through the jungles of Borneo. The experience was nothing short of magical. The food and overall service on the boat were outstanding. Everyone was kind, helpful, and welcoming. Our guide, Adin, had extensive knowledge about everything from plants and the history of orangutan rehabilitation in Borneo to the names and life stories of many of the orangutans we saw. We would highly recommend that everyone travels to Borneo to have this experience and be sure to ask for the boat Selvar and the guide Adin. The only thing we regret is not booking a longer trip.

Review Body: A fantastic tour from begining to end. We went on a 3 day 2 night tour in October. From the ease of booking to the taxi back to the hotel every need was catered for and so well organised. Rini and sister are kind and professional. The crew on the boat headed up by Andy were Fantastic and we had a very relaxing time with GREAT home cooked flavoursome food. Mosquito nets comfortable beds and quiet mooring points overnight. We saw plenty of orangutans, proboscis monkeys both in the feedings and as we passed by on the banks of the river which we stopped to enjoy. I highly recommend this company.

Review Body: We had a wonderful time. Our guide Sules and her crew were very organised and made sure we arrived at the feeding stations ahead of the crowds. We saw many orangutans and monkeys. The food was delicious and generous in size. We were never left hungry. The boat was simple but clean. The shower water pressure isn’t very strong, so don’t expect a long refreshing shower at the end of each day. Wet wipes definitely came in handy. We also recommend packing breathable layers, sunscreen, calamine lotion (for heat rash) and deet.

Review Body: Apart from the natural beauty of Borneo and the fascinating insight which came from observing orangutans at close quarters Sister Tour provided a guide by the name of Adin who was so knowledgeable and had such a keen eye for all the jungle wildlife that she took my experience to another level. Well done Sister Tour and well done and thank you Adin.

Experiencia inolvidable.

Review Body: Super cool trip, truly an amazing experience! The crew was super kind and welcoming. The only downside is that we would have liked to receive more info from the guide about orangoutangs and other animals and to had the chance to spot more animals with the help of the guide and to do the night tre k that we didn’t had the chance to. Overall amazing and everyone should do it once in a lifetime.-

Cosy 3D2N Orangutan houseboat experience for 2 guests - perfect for couples!
This 3-day houseboat journey through Tanjung Puting National Park takes you deep into one of the best places in the world to see orangutans in the wild.Unlike most boats, this one hosts just two guests - perfect if you’re travelling as a couple or with a close friend. You get the intimacy of a private orangutan cruise, without needing to pay for a large cruise! You'll cruise along the quiet waters of the Sekonyer River, past lush rainforest and wildlife-rich banks. You’ll visit three iconic orangutan feeding stations - each with its own characters and stories. Your guides will point out the dominant male who’s ruled the platform for years, protective mothers, or the cheeky juvenile known for testing boundaries. It's like a real life Nat Geo documentary! What makes this experience extra special is the crew. Many of them are local women - guides, cooks, and captains’ daughters - who’ve been trained through grassroots efforts to create more opportunities for women in tourism. They'll take care of you with genuine warmth and attention, creating a space that feels both professional and personal. You’ll sleep comfortably on a traditional wooden boat (no engine running at night), enjoy freshly cooked meals, and have the option to join your onboard cook for a deeper look at traditional Kalimantan recipes using seasonal ingredients (more info below).
