Review Body: Our son is keen on primates, so I chose this tour for him, to the orangutans. The tour is three days, two nights, living on a houseboat. We arrived at 7am, drove along a broken road for about 20 minutes, through a military unit, and felt a bit tense. We had sent copies of our passports and tickets for park passes in advance. Our boat arrived, we met our guide Rasmin and sailed along the bay, then up the river. It was not hot, we entered the river, it was beautiful, the birds were singing. We had a modest lunch of local cuisine. It started raining. We sailed to the first stop, and it was still raining (the guide suggested going in the rain, gave us umbrellas. We went along the path through the jungle. We heard a noise overhead, looked, and right above us on the treetops walked a female orangutan with a grown-up cub. Quiet delight! We walked, and they walked above us, to the feeding place. We arrived, the rain stopped, several young males, females and cubs were feeding. They were about 10 meters away. An alpha male came for a short time - they are called kings, young males quickly leave. One sits above us, expresses displeasure (loudly smacks his lips), breaks branches and throws them down on everyone watching, we all laugh quietly. An hour and a half of feeding and we go back. We rest on the boat, at 7 pm there is a night safari. The night one was not particularly impressive, we saw a tarantula, glowing mushrooms and Mushrooms smoking with spores. We sail on to the place of overnight stay. We sat on the bow of the boat, admired the night sky, the moon - romance. We slept on mats under a mosquito net tent, silence, only something crunching and chomping can be heard in the jungle. In the morning, with the first rays of the sun at half past five, the birds began to sing, cry out, we slept great. Then we had breakfast and went to the second feeding place. The weather is great, although it is the rainy season, but the sun is shining, only very humid. We are walking along the path, the Rasmin and son are in front, about 3 meters behind me and my husband ... King comes out onto the path in front of the son and the guide, grabs a tree with one hand, stops and looks at us, then starts walking forward, sweeping the path with his wool. He looks like Yeti, our emotions are indescribable! So we go on until he turns into the depths of the forest. We knew that we were going in the low season and the probability of seeing orangutans was lower, well, we hoped for at least one. We saw them all: kings, females with cubs of all ages, teenagers, young males! A female with a cub passed me literally 3-4 meters away. No words, photos or videos can convey the live emotions and what we saw with our eyes! Two hours flew by unnoticed, we returned to the boat, had lunch and sailed to the third stop. The higher we sailed along the river, the narrower the river became. The park workers do this work, clearing the river banks from thickets of plants. They cut down entire floating islands and send them floating downstream. But since they cut down very large islands, these islands can become compacted and block the river. The guide told us that if we could not get through, we would return to the second stop. But we were able to get through and went further up the river. We arrived at the third stop, a 20-minute walk along the path to the feeding site. There is a hotel at the third stop, also an orangutan study center, where volunteers also come. Unfortunately, the orangutans did not come to the feeding at the third stop. We sat for a long time, more than an hour, and suddenly a gibbon appeared, very timid, grabbed some fruit, climbed a tree, ate and left altogether. We sat for an hour and a half and went back. We sailed in the opposite direction, had to choose a place to spend the night. But because of these floating islands, we got stuck. Other boats arrived and tried to move these islands, and somehow they pulled us back. In the morning, we sailed to break through the islands. Before us, the park workers left to cut a channel. So we also had adventures. We broke through the islands and calmly went in the opposite direction, and returned to the port by 12 o'clock. Almost everywhere we sailed, there was no connection or internet, we had a very good rest both in mind and body. We said goodbye to the Rasmin and went to the airport. We had a wonderful experience and unforgettable impressions

Review Body: Look Orangutan... Wow! What an incredible 6-day, 5-night adventure we had. Our wonderful guide, Vonny, met us at our hotel in Pangkalan Bun with our driver, and from that moment the adventure began. Our first stop was the Dayak village of Riam Tinggi, where we were welcomed so warmly by the beautiful people of the village. We took part in a traditional ceremony to enter the village, chopping bamboo with a large knife, dressing in traditional clothing, dancing, drinking tuak from a cow horn, and celebrating with music and laughter throughout the evening. Over the next few days, we discovered the beauty of the area the locals are so fortunate to call home. Lush green jungle, flowing rivers, crystal-clear springs, and an abundance of fruit trees surrounded us everywhere we looked. We were treated to the most delicious home-cooked meals and felt incredibly privileged to experience life alongside the community. They are some of the happiest, warmest, and kindest people we have ever met. We then continued our journey to the klotok. By this stage, we had become great friends with our guide, Vonny, and our driver—our car karaoke sessions were definitely a highlight! Arriving at Kumai, we met the wonderful crew who would look after us on the klotok for the next few days. Their kindness and hospitality were exceptional. And the food? Absolutely sensational—the best, incredibly fresh, and bursting with flavour. As we entered the national park, we were completely immersed in the breathtaking beauty of the jungle and its winding rivers. We saw an incredible amount of wildlife, including the magnificent orangutans. Watching them in their natural habitat left us in absolute awe. Cruising slowly along the river, surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest, gave us time to truly absorb every magical moment. There is so much more I could say about this unforgettable journey. Without a doubt, this has been one of the most enjoyable adventures we have ever experienced. We leave with unforgettable memories, meaningful friendships, and a deep appreciation for the incredible people who made this trip so special. Thank you, Vonny, our amazing crew, and everyone who welcomed us so warmly. This is an experience we will treasure forever.

Review Body: We had an amazing trip on the Kkotok boat . Monica, our Guide educated us on the history behind Indonesian Borneo and was so knowledgeable. Rudy and Dar manned the klotok boat and were amazing guys . Masria , the lovely lady who cooked all our meals was honestly incredible .....her food was amazing and it's shocking what she could make on the boats kitchen ....so incredibly talented ! Her meals were delicious and food was plentiful and we tried so many Indonesian favorites ! Salt of the earth crew that really take care of you and are so kind . The orangutans were a sight to behold , especially the alpha males which travel through the jungle like a bus . Nothing prepares you for the sight of them .....so special ! Saw babies , moms , and young adults too . Tonnes of probiscus monkeys at sunset on the side of the river and grey monkeys . We had two beautiful candlelight dinners, one to the song of frogs and probiscus monkeys as the sun was setting and another to fireflies in the Nipah palm tree trees. Both magical . The canoeing experience was lovely and refreshing, and we planted trees to mark our trip in the reforestation area. The night hike with sporing mushrooms was also interesting. We saw vipers, pythons, all kinds of bugs, and flora and fauna are in the region. The malayu village and Traditional Dayak house were really interesting too . The locals are incredible stewards of the river and it's such a precious part of Indonesia that has retained its authenticity and is really challenged by the palm oil industry . We felt like we were in a National Geographic documentary the entire time. Trip of a lifetime I would recommend this trip to anybody. It really is an 11 out of 10 and so special

Review Body: We had a great tour with Vonny and the Look Orangutan team! The team were friendly and knowledgeable and we were looked after well with lots of good food, snacks and drinks. I was there as a solo traveller and it was great to meet 4 other guests onboard. I loved the whole tour - it was so peaceful to cruise along the river spotting monkeys in the trees and watching the world go by. The highlight of course was seeing the orangutans. We were very lucky at the first feeding station and were surrounded by orangutans for a couple of hours. It was completely magical. The night hike was also fantastic. We saw plenty of wildlife, including a snake and a frog. Some things to note for other guests - the boat is basic but equipt with toilet, shower and (solar-powered) electricity. If you are there as a solo traveller you will likely need to share a bed but I had no problem with this, and on my trip they put the two female solo travellers together. Bring a head torch and mosquito spray, and I'd recommend binoculars (although I didn't have any). Thanks to the team at Look Orangutan!

Review Body: Other than spending some time during the holidays with my youngest sister who lives in Indonesia, this was the highligt of my trip! I booked this as a gift to my mom and sister and did not regret it. Ami was a knowledgeable, kind and went above and beyond to make sure our experience was great. We saw so many Orangutans as well as other monkeys! Ample time was provided at each stop and our guide made sure to show us other flora and fauna on the walk in and out, so we learned so much about Borneo. The cook was a wonderful woman who provided such filling a delicious meals! It was nice to float along the river and relax from the stress of day to day and I even spotted an Orangutan hanging out as we floated by. The captain and second captain were awesome, too, they expertly guided the boat through the river and got us tied up so we could get to shore. Thank you, Ami and crew for a truly unforgettable experience

Review Body: Amazing! Excellent tour, excellent boat, excellent crew. All tours are fundamentally the same - they go to the same feeding stations over the 3 days / 2 nights and so the difference is the boat and crew. We had no problems with mosquitoes (dry season, July), lots of cold bottles of water, ice cold towels awaiting after every trek, we say a ridiculous number of orangutan and proboscis monkeys and both short and long tail makak moneys, as well as fire flies and a small crocodile. The food however, was even better. Having stayed in hotels for the prior 8 days we were delighted to have some amazing nutritious food, new fruits to try each day. The Airconditioning was excellent - almost too good and although I think we would have been fine on a deck (the kids chose to do that instead of the second air conditioned room) I was grateful for it. Thoroughly recommended.

Review Body: It was a three-day dream experience. My early morning flight was an hour early and I missed it, so I was at a loss. But they responded appropriately via email and we were able to fly in the afternoon and join the tour. My guide, Rusmin, and my three companions were also very kind, and I, who participate alone, was able to spend time without any worries. The many orangutans I saw up close, the gibbons I saw on Tengzal 49, and the starry sky, Milky Way and hordes of swarms of scourges I saw from the night ship were all dreamlike and the biggest adventure of my life. The food was delicious and I was able to eat it for three days without getting bored. Thank you very much. I just hope that rich forest lasts forever.

Review Body: Tanjung Puting was such an amazing experience for me. The food was really good, fresh, and always satisfying. It gave us the energy we needed for trekking and long days exploring the jungle. And the guide? The best!!! I was honestly so impressed. Their knowledge about wildlife, plants, and local culture was incredible. You can really feel their passion and experience. I also want to mention the boat crew. They were so kind and attentive. They always made sure our beds and the dining area were clean and comfortable. Every time we came back from trekking, everything was already tidy and ready for us. It made the whole experience feel so relaxing and well taken care of. Five stars from me. Highly recommended!

Review Body: This shared trip was AMAZING. Three orangutan feeding stations? ✅ Made new travel buddies? ✅ Core memories unlocked? BIG YES. I saw three alpha male orangutans, around 20 orangutans in total, five crocodiles (still alive, thankfully), proboscis monkeys, glowing fungi on a night trek, tarantulas, giant ants, and a firefly show so magical I genuinely questioned reality. Add insanely good local food, an awesome guide and crew, and it all came together as an unforgettable jungle adventure 🌿🦧✨

Review Body: Great trip. Places were great. We hade the chance to see like 20 orangus, plus a numerous of monkeys in the wild. The trekking during night showed us a new world of night animals and insect, which we saw only in documentaries. The boat is a klotok so do not expect luxury boat of course, but was really comfortable, 3 people in it had a lot of space. Enough for 4 . The crew has been great , cooking for us and delivering best experience. We must save Kalimantan

Review Body: Was everything I could hope for. Went during the worst forest fires in a decade but still was a perfect trip that I wouldn't have any other way. Toilet wasn't working during the last hours but that wasn't really an issue. Team was great, we were well taken care of. Food was amazing and diverse and there was always a flow of included bottled mineral water and coke. Thanks Annie!

We saw so many beautiful animals, not least of all the Orangutans. Can't thank Rusmin, Dharma, Rudi and Masni enough. And the people behind the scenes - well done on a great operation.
