Review Body: I didn’t know what I was getting into when I booked the trip but I don’t think I’ll enjoy going to other places as much after the princess treatment I got at Luma Selakan. I was there barely 24 hours before deciding I would definitely return because:
1. Service is impeccable! They went over and beyond to provide the best possible service imaginable. Zul, the manager, was very attentive to our needs and even helped us with purchasing ice cream from a local seller.
We barely had to do anything as everything from carrying of bags, preparing everything for the dive, even putting our fins on at the start of every dive, cleaning up equipment after and so many other little details were taken care of by the crew.
2. Authentic home cooked food is served 4 times a day. There’s also a full kitchen if you want to cook your own meals.
3. The view and nature. There was an anemone with a family of clownfish right outside our room!
4. The sense of security there. We left our doors and windows open when we were out for dives because it was so safe
5. The beautiful and easy dives where I could truly enjoy the view without getting too into my head. Also a haven for macro lovers. The dive guide, Nat, was also patient and accommodated to us.

Review Body: A truly beautiful and charming place to stay in the Semporna region. The rooms are simple but clean and spacious, and they're built right over the sea. We loved everything here: the vibe, the food, the stunning sunsets, the village, the ocean, and the incredible service and hospitality from the staff.
Zulkarnain was an especially great manager and facilitator. He pays attention to every detail and anticipates your needs, ensuring you feel happy and comfortable in this special place. For booking and before travelling, the communication was super smooth, and the team is very well-organized and professional.
My 10-year-old daughter and I also did the discover diving experience. She was so lucky to have Osman as her instructor—he's a very experienced and calm teacher. We also had the chance to visit the villagers, who cooked our food for us in a very clean and nice kitchen. The food is excellent, and you have a great variety to choose from every time. Even though we aren't a family with diving experience, we still had a wonderful time and truly loved this unique place. I highly recommend!

Review Body: Luma Selakan will always hold a special place in our hearts. If "Luma" means "home," then this is exactly what we found here. The crew is amazing, and the food is tasty. The room was very comfortable and the view spectacular. Having a diving center on-site made it even more special, as we were able to get our Open Water certification right there. Truly a hidden gem.
Thank you❤️

Review Body: Beautiful experience of 4 days 3 nights with dives and snorkeling around the island of Selakan. The whole team of Jul, the manager and dive master, was very careful. The rooms with balconies on the water are extraordinary. Dive sites are breathtaking especially for the richness of corals. Jul shared his passion for nudibranchs and other micro-animals. Fabulous.

Review Body: Small, beautiful and quiet place. Very competent in macro diving. We stayed in a double room with private terrace, white sheets and thin curtains blowing in the wind. The pleasant vibe of home stay and the service of a luxury resort. We loved this place!

A stay to experience a different side of Semporna and island village life
Most divers know Semporna for Sipadan and its big pelagic encounters, but there's another side to these waters that many overlook. This 2D1N dive stay takes you to Selakan Island, where you'll slow down, explore vibrant macro reefs, and experience island life in the heart of Tun Sakaran Marine Park. The lodge was founded by a passionate macro diver who discovered these reefs years ago and wanted to share a different side of Semporna. Today, it's a favourite among underwater photographers and macro enthusiasts, with colourful nudibranchs, frogfish, shrimps and other tiny reef creatures often stealing the show alongside healthy coral reefs, turtles and tropical fish.Just as special is the community behind the experience. Many of the dive instructors and boat crew are from Selakan Island, while local aunties prepare home-cooked meals for guests. Staying here feels less like checking into a resort and more like spending a couple of days with the people who call these waters home. You'll spend the night in a simple but cosy overwater bungalow with panoramic sea views, then head straight back out for another day of diving. With a maximum of three divers per divemaster, every dive is unhurried, giving you more time to search for tiny marine life or simply enjoy the reefs. If time allows, you can also explore Selakan Village, either on your own or with one of the local team. Wander through the village or take a short hike up Selakan Hill for sweeping views of the island. All dive sites are located around Selakan Island, just 3 to 5 minutes by boat from the lodge. Sites include Tuah Reef, Selakan Timur, Dayah Reef, Pasiran, Laluan, Tangga, Chempaka Reef, Luma’ Reef, Tetagan, Jade Nari, Tayyum, and Sungai Selakan.Dive sites are selected daily based on sea conditions, including current and visibility, to ensure the best possible experience. Expect a good mix of reef diving, with opportunities to spot turtles, colourful reef fish, vibrant coral gardens, and macro marine life depending on the site and conditions. What to ExpectJoin a shared 2D1N dive stay on Selakan Island, within Tun Sakaran Marine ParkRoundtrip boat transfers from Semporna Tourist JettyStay in a simple overwater room with panoramic sea views, natural ventilation, ceiling fans, and a private ensuite bathroomExperience island living with refreshing sea breezesBath towels provided, with 24-hour electricity throughout your stayShared guest kitchen available for light cooking and meal preparationEnjoy 3 boat dives over 2 daysSmall dive groups with a maximum ratio of 1 divemaster to 3 diversMeals included: 1 breakfast, 1 lunch, and 1 dinnerFull dive equipment includedGood to KnowNon-Malaysians are required to pay a Marine Park fee of RM20 per person, per dayMeet at 2:00 PM at Semporna Tourist Jetty on Day 1Return to Semporna is approximately 1:00 PM–2:00 PM on Day 2
