Review Body: I booked this workshop with my mum as a birthday celebration for both of us, and it ended up being far more meaningful than either of us expected. From the moment we arrived, Nilo made us feel incredibly welcome. The studio itself is beautiful - calm, thoughtfully designed, and full of little touches that immediately make you slow down and settle into the experience. We were greeted with green tea, and Nilo even recommended the coffee shop next door (where participants receive a discount), which was such a lovely gesture of support for the local community. What stood out most was not just learning the kintsugi process, but the way Nilo facilitated the experience. She shared the philosophy behind the art, guided us patiently through each step, and created space for reflection without ever making it feel forced. The conversations flowed naturally and it felt less like a workshop and more like spending time with a thoughtful friend who genuinely cares about her guests. My mum and I have been navigating a particularly stressful period recently, and this workshop gave us an opportunity to pause, be present, and create something meaningful together. The reflection exercise at the end was unexpectedly powerful. Of course, we also left with beautiful pieces that now have pride of place on my bookshelf, but the experience itself is what I’ll remember most. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for a meaningful activity with a parent, partner, or friend. I’d also love to return and organise a small gathering with girlfriends or even a book club in the space. Thank you, Nilo, for creating such a special experience.

Review Body: We did this as a Valentine's couple activity and it was really meaningful. The philosophy of Kintsugi is around how we can heal our brokenness, and how brokenness can be more beautiful than something intact. And that sparked a lot of conversations on what healing means to us and how do we let go of our perfectionist tendencies. So it's actually a lovely couple activity! Nilo and Ranya (Nilo's daughter) are really really lovely. They make people feel really welcomed and Ranya is really good at drawing stories out of people. Being at the studio felt like a real community. It's a really lovely vibe. There's a huge variety to choose from - from some cute Peranakan themed tiles/bowls to Japanese plates/bowls/sake sets. I was very pleasantly surprised by the variety! It was very fun to choose. We also loved how Nilo taught us not only the technique of Kintgusi but the philosophy behind it. She introduced us to how kintgusi helped her through a time of grief, about philosophy of kintsugi and wabi sabi. And she also invited each person to share at the end what came up for them during the workshop. I've done a lot of pottery classes in Singapore but this format made it a lot more meaningful that a usual pottery class. Overall a lovely and meaningful way to spend a Saturday morning! And interestingly even after the workshop, I found myself reflecting on it and how the broken items made me feel.

Review Body: I loved this workshop! It was a very meaningful and fun time cracking the plates and then mending it together with gold. The host was very intentional about helping us understand what this workshop is about, the meaning of Kintsugi, and also shared very openly about how kintsugi has helped her in her life and her struggles and guided us to share about how it made us feel at the end of the class. This really brought a lot of meaning to the experience, instead of it just being another art workshop as we got to self reflect and glean insights from this workshop. The host was also so sweet and very good at teaching. She was intentional about getting to know each and everyone of us, and shared very openly about her life and struggles, which kept the vibe very authentic and open enough for everyone to be comfortable to share as well. Also loved the space! It was a very calming place (and it smelled good too!). There was a lot of space given between each set of customers, so we didn't feel cramped and had ample space to move around even if the space wasn't that big. It was just an entirely therapeutic experience that you have to try!

Review Body: Brought my partner to share this experience with me as she had a keen interest in kintsugi for awhile now. There was only so much we can learn through google so i was happy I found Kintsugi art studio. Mrs Anand is literally sunshine and warm hugs personified. The studio was inviting, very neat and zen. She explained a little about what the whole concept was and why she went on this path. She provided a space for sharing and also healing. After the small intro we headed out and chose the pieces we'd chose to break and then repair. Me and my partner took 2 pcs each which took about 2hrs to fix up. all item provided made the experience very relaxing . Mixing the gold pigments with the resin and glue.. then holding on the pieces .. and then going back in for touch ups provided a lot of time to reflect . overall positive experience and will definately do again !

Review Body: Kintsugi is a very therapeutic process which helped me accept the hard truth that I am imperfect and it is ok to be so. All of mankind is 'broken' in one way or another just like the ceramic piece. Many by relationships, some by misfortune, some self-inflicted, some just circumstantial. Putting the broken pieces together with resin glue mixed with gold powder is the most difficult but also most therapeutic. It takes time, some 5 to 10 minutes of holding the pieces in place can be quite tiring. Patience is what pulled me through. Just like any trial or tribulation we go through, it takes time for us to pick up the pieces and then even more effort in making sense of what went on and how we are to navigate to come to a resolution to move on in life. Kintsugi is but a reflection of our broken life mended by the healing blood of Jesus. In Him we are made new again.

Review Body: I love the experience, Nilo is so warm ,helpful and friendly. It is something I been wanted to have with my partner, when I touch down to Singapore’s to meet my partner … something to heal each other in daily life in oneself and yet a good bonding between our relationship. I was given the help and support on my arrangement to make this whole thing a success and memorable from Kintsugi art studio . The environment is very zen and one thing is that it is not commercial and every bit of it there’s personal touch to guide us along. We were given the suggestion from single piece and end up with the best suggestion to both of us and our decision of doing spouse piece together. Both of us love it . Thanks Nilo and Kintsugi art studio. We will definitely recommended this meaningful workshop and Kintsugi studio to our friends .

Review Body: Vivi’s gift this year for her birthday was a Kintsugi class that was such a reflective exercise on our journey together so far. We loved the fact that life is imperfect and that if we somehow found a way to accept that, it could be beautiful. Nature is in a constant state of transition and thus nothing is ever complete the way it is meant to be. Things that are broken can be reborn again. Thank you teacher Nilo for the guidance both in the Kintsugi technique and also spiritually as an individual! Will recommend this to friends for sure!

Review Body: I attended a transformative workshop at Kintsugi Art Studio, led by the exceptional Nilo. This remarkable experience felt like a therapy session disguised as a practical Kintsugi technique. Nilo's patience, empathy, and listening skills empowered participants to find meaning and healing in their stories. The workshop's value lies in Nilo's ability to glue these stories into a cohesive whole, fostering a safe space for support, acceptance, and growth. A must-attend for a truly transformative experience.

Review Body: Nilo is wonderful and makes the whole workshop more than just the art of making Kintsugi - she helped us slow down, be mindful, look for meaningful metaphors for life in a gentle, invitational way, never forced or cheesy. I went with a friend and it was a great time of appreciating how far we had come in life and practising the art of perspective shifting.A spa for the senses and your mind!

Review Body: Through the art of Kintsugi, it teaches me to embrace my own flaws and imperfections, that we can be become stronger and beautiful. The instructor, Nilo was knowledgeable and shared how Kintsugi came about, how we can imply Kintsugi to our lives. Nilo was patient and always checking in to make sure what we did was correct. I really enjoyed the workshop.

Review Body: First time trying Kintsugi and fell in love with not just the end product but the whole process of it! Niki was really engaging, and brought us through the process of the art and beauty of imperfections — something that many of us fail to stop and process in today’s busy world. Would highly recommend this experience! Definitely one not to be missed 😊

Review Body: I brought my three kids along as a bonding activity. All of them loved it and I loved it too because we had so much take away from it especially the part we had to patiently hold on the the pieces while waiting for the glue to set in and we could converse or be still with one another
