Create your own eco art print on fabric using flowers, leaves and fabric
Create your own piece of eco-art using leaves, flowers, and traditional dyeing techniques passed down by local artisans - all in a cosy home studio just 15 minutes from Chiang Mai city. You’ll discover how different plants imprint onto fabric and use an old-school boiling method (no electricity or machines!) to draw out their natural colours and patterns. What we love: no two pieces are the same! The colours, the textures, even the plants you pick will form a totally unique, one-of-a-kind print. You’ll bring home not just a beautiful piece of fabric art, but a deeper appreciation for Chiang Mai’s natural dyes and the artists keeping this art form alive. What to ExpectStart with a warm welcome and an introduction to eco-printing and its environmental benefits.Learn about different plant materials, how they print, and prepare them for your design.Arrange your gathered leaves and flowers creatively onto fabric.Use traditional boiling methods (no electricity or machines needed!) to transfer the natural prints onto your fabric.Reveal your one-of-a-kind print - a beautiful, organic creation to take home.Relax and enjoy the slow process, with guidance from friendly local artisans throughout.Good to KnowThis is a private workshop for small groups. Maximum 12 people. The workshop will be held at a home studio just 15 minutes from Chiang Mai Old City. For groups of 4–12, the workshop will take place near Central Festival Chiang Mai.Suitable for adults and children aged 8 and above. All materials and tools are provided – just bring yourself and your creativity! No need for any prior experience. It’s a very beginner-friendly and relaxing activity.Transport is not included, so you’ll need to arrange your own way to the workshop venue.Morning (9:00 AM–12:00 PM) and afternoon (1:00 PM–4:00 PM) sessions are available. As the process uses boiling and steam, some parts may involve handling hot materials carefully (with guidance from the instructors).Wear comfortable clothes you don’t mind getting a little wet or messy.

Koi and Noo are the warm and thoughtful couple behind Dip Dye By Noo, which they started back in 2019. Their journey began with traditional tie-dyeing, but concerns about health and the environment led them to switch to natural dyes during the pandemic. Noo taught himself new techniques through endless experimenting, determined to create beautiful pieces that are safe for both people and the planet. They also work closely with local artisans, putting traditional skills at the heart of their designs. Beyond their shop, Koi and Noo run friendly workshops and events, helping others learn how to create sustainably. Their small business is built on simple values: care, community, and respect for nature.
