Pelican Group’s Founder - Mr Nguyen Duy Phu, with more than 14 years of experience in the Vietnam’s Marine Force, boasts a broad knowledge of both sea navigation and cruising company management.
Starting from organizing small day cruises that visit some of the iconic attractions in the 90s, Mr Phu was the first person to come up with a brand-new idea of hosting tourists on overnight trips that redefine Ha Long Bay’s tourism to this day. With many companies under his direction such as Hai Long Junk or Bhaya Cruises, he originally built the first and pioneer steel cruise ship in Ha Long Bay to offer comfort as well as the safety for clients. In 2016, he built the brand Orchid Cruise which was the pioneer and initial overnight luxury cruise in Lan Ha Bay - an untouched area of Ha Long Bay. He researched & organized tours visiting local fishing villages and caves in the area, which was the original itinerary for all other boats in Lan Ha Bay.
Today, with a total of 5 brands operating in Ha Long Bay, Pelican Group has proven to be one of the biggest cruise lines in Vietnam.
