Over the course of three days, you'll visit not one, but two UNESCO sites - Ninh Binh and Halong Bay.Your adventure begins with a hotel pick-up in Hanoi, followed by a journey through the best of Ninh Binh. Explore Hoa Lu, Vietnam’s ancient capital, hike up to Mua Cave for stunning views, cruise down the peaceful Tam Coc River and spend a night at a simple, cosy eco-lodge.Then, you'll head to Halong Bay for a relaxed cruise - where you'll kayak through Light and Dark Cave, do a cooking class onboard, and catch lovely sunset views of the bay. This is a really nice way to see Vietnam’s nature and culture in just a few days.What to ExpectDay 1: Ninh Binh Exploration:Early morning pick-up from your Hanoi hotel in the Old Quarter.Scenic drive through the countryside to Ninh Binh.Explore the ancient capital of Hoa Lu (Dinh and Le Dynasties).Climb to the peak of Mua Cave for breathtaking views (free time for climbing and lunch).Bamboo boat ride through the stunning Tam Coc area, often called Halong Bay on land.Check into an eco-lodge with a swimming pool and optional biking tours.Dinner is not included, allowing you to sample local cuisine.Day 2: Halong Bay Cruise:Breakfast at the eco-lodge.Transfer to Halong Bay, arriving at Tuan Chau Wharf.Board your cruise and enjoy a welcome drink and briefing.Lunch while cruising through the bay.Kayaking or bamboo boat exploration of Light and Dark Cave.Swimming near the cruise ship.Sunset viewing and a complimentary sunset party.Participate in a traditional Vietnamese cooking class.Delicious dinner onboard.Evening activities include squid fishing, movies, and relaxing on deck.Day 3: Lan Ha Bay and Return to Hanoi:Early morning Tai Chi or sunrise viewing.Light breakfast.Explore Lan Ha Bay by kayak.Brunch while cruising back to the pier.Disembark and return to Hanoi by shuttle bus.TipsDinner on the first night in Ninh Binh is not included, so bring some Vietnamese Dong or be ready to find a local restaurant.Surcharges apply for holidays (April 30th, May 1st, September 2nd, Christmas, and New Year's).
