Moving to Hanoi for university, he studied tourism and hospitality, quickly falling in love with the city that became his second home. His deep connection to the rugged Minsk motorcycle, a staple of his childhood, inspired him to create Hanoi Backstreet Tours in 2015. With over 15 years in the travel industry, Tho wanted to offer visitors a more personal and immersive way to experience Hanoi. His tours, using vintage motorbikes and jeeps, give travellers a chance to see the city’s hidden corners, enjoy authentic local food, and connect with everyday life in Vietnam in a real and meaningful way.
