Join a small group & liveaboard owner for a personalised Komodo diving journey
This 3D2N liveaboard trip is the perfect way to experience the best of Komodo in a shorter time—combining world-class diving with iconic island landscapes. With just 8 divers, it offers a more personalised and relaxed atmosphere. What truly sets this trip apart is that the boat owner is onboard for every journey, bringing over 20 years of experience and taking care of guests throughout. From smooth diving operations to onboard comfort, every detail is thoughtfully handled. The owner speaks both English and German and is always available to assist you during the trip.Over three days, you’ll enjoy up to 9 dives (including a night dive) across Central and Northern Komodo. Expect a dynamic mix of drift dives, coral gardens, walls, and seamounts at legendary sites like Batu Bolong, Manta Point, Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, and Shotgun. From graceful manta rays and turtles to reef sharks, trevallies, and large schools of pelagic fish, every dive offers something unforgettable.Beyond diving, the journey also takes you to Komodo’s most iconic spots. Walk among the legendary Komodo dragons in their natural habitat, relax on the stunning sandbar of Taka Makassar, and hike up Gili Lawa for breathtaking panoramic views over turquoise waters and rugged island landscapes.Adding a unique and meaningful dimension to the trip, the team also collaborates annually with ECO FIELD TRIPS, hosting local students onboard to learn about navigation, marine life, and the ecosystem of Komodo National Park—reflecting a genuine commitment to education and conservation that you become part of. With a comfortable traditional phinisi featuring private cabins and spacious decks for relaxing under the sun, this is more than just a dive trip—it’s a warm, personal, and immersive Komodo experience, both above and below the surfaceWhat to ExpectUp to 9 dives over three days across Central and Northern Komodo, featuring Batu Bolong, Manta Point, Turtle City, Castle Rock, Crystal Rock, and Shotgun - covering drift, wall, sloping reef, and seamount dives with exceptional marine biodiversityCentral Komodo dives featuring vibrant coral reefs, turtles, manta rays, and rich reef life, alongside a mix of relaxed and current-driven sitesNorthern Komodo dives known for stronger currents and adrenaline-filled action, with chances to see reef sharks, trevallies, barracudas, groupers, and tuna hunting in schoolsNight dive to see the reef come alive after darkTime on land for visiting the legendary Komodo dragons in their natural habitatHike up Gili Lawa for a stunning savanna viewpoint overlooking Komodo’s iconic islands and turquoise watersVisit Taka Makassar, an iconic sandbar surrounded by crystal-clear seaSmall-group trip with the boat owner onboard, who has over 20 years of experience.A rare trip where the boat owner personally joins the trip, taking care of guests and ensuring every detail—from diving to comfort—is thoughtfully handledDive Sites & Marine Life HighlightsCentral Komodo offers vibrant reefs, rich biodiversity, and a mix of relaxed and current-driven dives.Key dive sites include:Turtle City - Known for frequent green and hawksbill turtle encounters, healthy coral gardens, and abundant reef fish. Divers often encounter manta rays gliding overhead, along with rays and schooling reef fish.Northern Komodo (Dry Season: April–November)Northern Komodo dive sites are accessed during the dry season when conditions allow and are known for adrenaline-filled dives and pelagic action.Key dive sites include:Cauldron / Shotgun - A thrilling drift dive through a narrow channel with strong currents. Expect high fish action, including reef sharks, giant trevallies, groupers, barracudas, and hunting tuna.Crystal Rock - A submerged pinnacle famous for clear visibility, challenging currents, and massive schools of pelagic fish circling the reef.Castle Rock - A current-swept seamount offering some of Komodo’s best big-fish encounters, including grey reef sharks, barracudas, trevallies, and tunas. At high-current sites, divers may experience short but intense action zones (approx 15–20 mins) where pelagic fish hunt schooling reef fish.Good to KnowThe Komodo National Park Authority has issued new regulations which require visitors to preregister and pay for their park fees in advance in order to secure their entry, previously park fees were collected directly from customers on the day of the trip.
