If you are short on time or just want to save energy, take the cable car down!
If you’re short on time but still want to get a real feel of Mount Fansipan, this full-day trek is a great shout. You’ll hike up through lush forests with a private guide, soak up those incredible mountain views, and then descend by cable car (optional!)—saving energy and catching the scenery from above. What to ExpectA 5-hour challenging hike through diverse ecosystems with stunning mountain scenery.Close encounters with local flora and fauna, including over 2,000 plant species and hundreds of animals.Summit achievement at 3,143 meters with a picnic lunch and incredible panoramic views.Descent options: hike back down or take the cable car (extra fee). The cable car runs until 5pm, so plan accordingly.Guided by passionate local H’mong guides who love sharing their knowledge and culture.Good to KnowThe ascent involves some steep and rocky sections, so sturdy footwear and hiking poles (recommended) are advised, especially in rainy weather. The last cable car down is at 5pm, and after 4:30pm, heading down on foot isn’t possible due to limited daylight.Weather can affect the route, so flexible scheduling is important.

Meet your host
Zizi and Lilly started their homestay in 2016, creating a welcoming place for travellers while also supporting their local community. Zizi’s family once relied on rice farming, but tourism helped improve their lives, allowing them to upgrade from bamboo to wooden houses. Their journey hasn’t been easy—during COVID, they lost both their business and home to a fire. But through determination and the support of visitors, they rebuilt step by step. Today, their homestay is one of the most loved in Sapa. They hire local guides and run their place as a social enterprise, giving others in the community a chance at a better life.
