Eco Hills Homestay

8.30 am Breakfast at the homestay 
9.30 am The guide will meet you at the homestay and you will start trekking around Ta Van, to a bamboo forest and a waterfall. 
12 pm Have lunch with a local family. 
1 pm Continue trekking to Su Pan Village where you will meet the Red Dzao People and a small number of Hmong People. You can choose to enjoy foot massage with the special local medicine of Dzao minority.
3.30 pm Return back to the homestay. Bid goodbye to your hosts.

Absolutely Worth It!

This homestay is totally worth every cent—I absolutely loved my stay here! The food they served was incredibly delicious, and the host was so friendly and welcoming. They consistently checked in to make sure I was okay and did everything to ensure my stay was comfortable.

Now for the room—wow! I had a private room with an attached toilet, and it was amazing. The view from my bed was beautiful, and the cleanliness was top-notch—100%! The toilet had hot water, and the bed was super comfortable. I had one of the best nights of rest here.

Highly recommended!

This homestay is totally worth every cent—I absolutely loved my stay here! The food they served was incredibly delicious, and the host was so friendly and welcoming. They consistently checked in to make sure I was okay and did everything to ensure my stay was comfortable.

Now for the room—wow! I had a private room with an attached toilet, and it was amazing. The view from my bed was beautiful, and the cleanliness was top-notch—100%! The toilet had hot water, and the bed was super comfortable. I had one of the best nights of rest here.

Thuy and family are very friendly and welcoming! The trek to the nearby village was great and we experienced local culture among breathtaking scenery. Ecohills homestay had beautiful views being perched on the mid hill, massage was cheap and good but the best experience was the homestay dinner! They are ala carte prices but very reasonable and delicious. The homestay is run by a loving young couple and family, really glad to have met them. Some points to note: There's a 200m walk with steep slope from the car dropoff up to the homestay, motorbikes are able to go up all the way. Recommend to avoid large luggages and come in the cooler weathers for lesser bugs.

1D Join-in  Rice Fields Trekking **Off the Beaten Track Route

This was the best thing we did in Sapa, mostly because we loved our tour guide Mayta so much. She was so fun to talk to and we loved wandering her homeland, the bamboo forest and the rice fields, while chatting about life in the village and just life in general. If we lived in Sapa, Mayta would be my new BFF. We had the best day!

Sen was amazing in coordinating the homestay to make sure everything was smooth sailing and well conducted. She helped us to book a ride from the cable car descent from Fansipan and Zinc (her assistant) greeted us warmly at the homestay itself, offering cold drinks and snacks to welcome us in. We were not tired during day 1 and decided to take up their offer of doing a cooking class and we cooked papaya salad and bamboo chicken! Their guidance together with the chef was amazing and we enjoyed a feast, there were excessive ingredients and we decided to use them all and offer some of the food to the hosts as well and they enjoyed it very much. 

The tour itself was fun but met with slippery slopes and rocks and hardsell souvenirs from kids, the view was not too shabby at the waterfall and the food cooked was amazing by the guide! However, the foot massage portion of the trip was missing even though it was indicated and we had to go back and forth between communication only to ultimately realise that Seek Sophie did not update the details on the website and decided to compensate us with a voucher instead (thank you!). 

Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay with the hosts and we would definitely go for such an experience again if given the opportunity, thank you Seek Sophie!

We had an amazing three nights at Eco Hills Homestay. Sen is an fantastic host and we really enjoyed being surrounded by her family at mealtimes. The food was delicious and Sen arranged a brilliant local guide (Su) for two days of trekking. Definitely recommend.

 The wooden huts on stilts are AMAZING, simple and very clean inside, with a decent sized bathroom! The bedroom has a window out onto a private balcony which just has the most amazing view of the rice fields.
 Sen and her husband are super friendly, and really took the time to chat to us at dinner time and offer advise on what hiking tour would be best suited for us (definitely book a hiking tour if you visit, it’s the best way to see the local villages and the best views in Sapa)!!

There are numerous trips available and they really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. They have an excellent chef as well.

We did a 4 hour trek which was perfect with 2 children but there are more adventurous ones available if you like.

We stayed there in July, in the perched cabin by the kitchen. We think it had the best view on the valley, it was simply breathtaking. The room was very clean. On the small side, but with the balcony and being able to hang out in the common area, you don't feel it. Plenty of walks to take on on your own from the property, and they also organize 3 and 5 hours guided treck, which are both great. Food was very good and staff extremely cheerful and helpful, especially Sen (excellent English as a bonus) and her husband. It was simply and amazing 2 days.
