Review Body: Please--- if you are in Singapore, even if only for a day, take this amazing tour. This was truly the best tour I've ever been on-- super informative, engaging, interesting and interactive. Going into it, I was a bit hesitant about participating in a 6 hour long tour, as in the past I have not lasted through 3 hour city tours mainly because the tour guide was unorganized or just not interesting. Jan, however, was absolutely fantastic. He went out of his way to make sure we were enjoying ourselves the entire day-- while telling us loads and loads about the very interesting melting pot that is Singapore. We discussed the city state's history, the numerous languages spoken and the religions practiced, questions and observations we had noticed during our stay, and of course, the traditional food dishes (which we also got to sample throughout the day!). Jan also seemed to be very well connected to the community-- he knew people at the bakery and food market we visited, and had a few of his local friends pop onto our tour. He was so kind and even spent an extra hour at the end of the tour talking to us and pointing out some personal favorites of his in the city. PLEASE take the time to enjoy the city through this tour, learning more about the hidden layers of Singaporean culture, food, lifestyle, politics, education, economy and more. You will not regret it!!!!

Review Body: I've done a dozen walking tours over the past year during my time abroad, and this tour is inarguably the best tour by every standard. Darren is very knowledgeable about Singapore on all fronts and explained its history and culture using stories, maps/artifacts, and his personal experiences to bring everything alive for us. He also studied geography in university, which added another interesting layer of insight to the tour. I was initially a little daunted by the fact that the tour is five hours, but the tour ended up being 6.5 hours and everyone on the tour stayed the entire time and didn't want to leave by the end of it! Darren's stories were captivating, the food was delicious and unique, and the group energy led to insightful and interesting conversations that added to the overall experience. I came out of the tour with new friends, a deeper understanding of Singapore (with a lot of fun facts!), and even book recs that Darren sent me after the tour knowing that I'm interested in Singapore's socio-political nuances. Overall, do this tour if you want to really experience Singapore and get the most of your time there! Everyone at SneakPeak is selflessly passionate about sharing their home with others which is clearly apparent in their tours, and I'll be recommending the tour to every friend who visits in the future.

Review Body: First you see it’s advertised as a “free” walking tour. Once you signed up, you’ll receive a message that says you are advisable to pay a fee, and then you’ll be skeptical about the whole thing and thought it might be an elaborated plan to take advantage of tourists. Going in, a friend decided we gonna leave halfway through to find something else to do to maximize our short time in the city. Boy how wrong we are! What I will tell you is Darren has so much passion with showing his city to the world and he is such an amazing storyteller you can’t help to be impressed by. I can see this because he actually put effort in memorizing everybody’s names and he even forked out his own money to buy local delicacies to allow everyone to have a taste of Singapore. What I love about this tour is, unlikely any other tours that will tell you how much it will cost and treat you like a customer paying for service, SneakPeekSingapore didn’t make it compulsory for you to pay. Not only we didn’t leave the tour and stuck with the group in the whole trip, we, and most people in the tour, actually felt great to pay Darren for the massive value he has given to us. Highly recommended!!

Review Body: This completely exceeded my expectations! Darren our guide from Sneak Peak Tours, and Kelvin and Angeline from Licea were absolutely excellent. I’ve done loads of tours / walking tours etc in my time, and I’ve got to say, this was so well put together - excellent pre and post communication, and so many thoughtful touches throughout the tour. Frozen jellies, snacks and cold towels were very much welcomed! Darren is not only passionate and personable, but he is extremely knowledgeable and prepared. He shared his knowledge along the route with props and pictures which made it a really immersive and experiential tour. The cameras from Licea were so great, and loved that the speed of the tour was paced to allow time for us to photograph the wonders of the “off road” parts of Mt Faber. I’m quite new to Singapore, and loving being able to learn about this wonderful place through experiences like this. I 100% recommended this tour to anyone keen to get off the beaten track, to learn and photograph Singapore through their own lens.

Review Body: It is always great if you only have only a short time in a place to take a tour with a local, who can give you that more in depth understanding of the place they live in. Jan was our perfect host on this particular tour. Even with 30 of us to cope with he managed to memorise everyone's names within a few minutes and gave all of us plenty of individual attention throughout the day (we met at 1pm and didn't say our farewells until well after 6.30 pm) Not once did we feel the numbers was a problem. In fact it was great to be able to hear opinions and stories from different people from so many places in the world. Jan was enthusiastic, funny, warm, interesting and generous. We had great day. The more than five hours seemed to zip by and with lots of stops along the way, the walking was easy enough, even for us pensioners. This was the only tour we had time for but if others are any better, then they must be something really special. I'd recommend this one all day long.

Review Body: Darren was absolutely amazing! The trip took us around Ubin and Pulau Ketam. We saw a side of singapore we never knew existed: Mangroves, wildlife and some of singapore’s history. We took a kayak from Changi, crossed the shipping channel (it’s a small channel) and explored Pulau ketam by kayak - Darren taught us about the different species of plans and trees (how they affect the environment) Following that, we kayaked on the border of Ubin into its mangrove (which was my favourite part of the trip) where we saw multiple species of birds. Learning more about the history of these Mangroves and Ubin and it’s people. The trip ended with awesome food on a “floating Kelong” which looks a lot better than it sounds (more like a floating seafood restaurant) Definitely a recommend for both Singaporeans and tourists alike. Darren was brilliant and he’s the sorta person you can tell is super passionate about our environment and Singapore

Review Body: This walking tour of Singapore was an excellent tour of the city. It was very well planned and interesting. The tour gave an opportunity to learn more about the different faces of Singapore including its culture, its history, its architecture and much more, with such detail that one wouldn't normally find out easily. The tour guide was energetic, very friendly, familiar with the city and insightful about all the details and was always happy to answer any questions that we had in detail. He had given us all personalized suggestions on what we could go on and do within the city as well. All in all one of the most interesting tours of Singapore and I would recommend this to everyone visiting the city willing to learn more about it. Most definitely worth it.

Review Body: Probably the most unique tour with the best guide in Singapore for nature lovers. We could enjoy the serenity of the flooded forests (timing with the tide) and rivers of ubin. Only birds, water and our kayaks. We just met a handful of kayakers and people on SUP ... where else do you have this peace in SG? Darren takes care of everything you need and more. I got excited every time he opened his bag: snacks, isotonic drinks, frozen grapes & many more came and random, but perfect times. OYSTERS grown in Singapore, fresh from the farm (where we picked them up) are consumed on the kayak, surrounded by the mangroves ... can it get better? Darren was extremely knowledgeable on plants, birds and beyond ... never a dull moment!

Review Body: I had an amazing time on the Sneak Peek Singapore hiking tour. From start to finish, the experience was incredibly well organised, informative, and enjoyable. Our guide, Darren, was not only engaging but also deeply knowledgeable about Singapore’s rich history, which really brought the trails to life. What stood out most was how the tour took us off the beaten path, through lush greenery, unexpected viewpoints, and lesser-known parts of Singapore you wouldn’t typically discover on your own. The pace was comfortable for all fitness levels. I’d highly recommend this to both locals and visitors looking for a unique and meaningful outdoor experience in Singapore.

Review Body: Darren, our tour guide, was passionate, energetic, very knowledgeable, quick-witted, well organized, and fun - what more could you possibly expect in tour guide. Using stories, maps, drama, and the landscape and city structures, Darren provided a concise yet comprehensive overview of Singapore’s origins, evolution throughout gh time, current history, cultural norms, cuisine (and samples of it), and insight on what it’s like to live here as a citizen. Luckily, we managed to participate on the tour during our first day - it provided us the information we needed to frame- out the rest of our trip. Don’t hesitate to go on this tour especially early on in your visit.

Review Body: The Sneakpeek Singapore tour with Darren is a must for anyone who wants to quickly get a broad understanding of the Lion City and its people. Darren didn’t just talk, he had props like maps, old money, and spices. He explained everything from the earliest days of the island to social issues of today. He was so entertaining that the five hours went by so quickly. His stops were so well arranged that planned stops in air-conditioned buildings helped us cool down in the tropical heat. He even gave preprinted maps and recommendations that we used for the rest of our days. Go on a tour with Sneakpeek and it will get your visit off on the right foot

Review Body: One of the best guided tours I ever had! Jan was super accomodating and very knowledgable about his home city. Also, he was open to share is own experience growing up in Singapore. In the humid heat of Singapore he always watched out for everyone to have shade and drink enough and also always had the nearest bathroom in mind. For my longer stay in Singapore, this was the perfect introduction to the city from which I will endeavour on further excursions through this amazing metropolis. Lastly, Jan is also a very talented photographer and very willing to apply this skill for the best shots of you and Singa! :-) Thanks you, Jan

Review Body: Kayaking to Pulau Ubin under the watchful eye of Darren was a fantastic experience, and one that really ticks the “off the beaten track” box. Over 7 hours, you can cross a wide expanse of water, paddle through mangrove channels, visit a temple, swim at an isolated spot and learn about the fauna and flora of this protected part of Singapore. The guide is incredibly friendly, adapts to his audience (including young children) and always pulls a miraculous treat from his refrigerated bag at the right moment. Organised to perfection, safe and friendly yet physically challenging - What a perfect family day out in Singapore!

Review Body: five stars are absolutely earned. If you like to walk and feel instead of just sit and see, take this tour, plan for the 5 hours, it is worth it and the guide will not stress you, even if it sounds a lot of hours. You’ll learn more than you ever could dream of to read elsewhere and you can ask any question. Jan was really good in using different media to explain History, culture, politics, merchant topics, local politics (the barber in the backstreet) and it is a very personal experience you get, not at all the feeling of a “program”. It feels like Jan is giving you a tour as a friend. Difficult to explain, try it out.

Review Body: We had such an incredible time with Darren. We are a family of 4 with 2 children 11 and 13. The tour was fascinating from the beginning to the end. Darren is a natural when it comes to history and geography and he embarked us into a journey of time in Telok Blangah. We learned a lot about the history of Singapore and we had a great adventure through the jungle. Darren is smart, full of joy and energy. At the end of the tour, you want to adopt him in your family as the fun and adventurous uncle. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to celebrate everything that our beautiful country has to offer.

Review Body: I don't have words to express my gratitude and appreciation to Jan for the tour, definitely the best I have done in my life and I have huge experience enrolling guided tours. Five hours sounded like a real challenge, I didn't want it to finish, the time really flies when you're having such a wonderful time. It is not only about showing you the city, it's about connecting with the culture, the people, the gastronomy and history, a really amazing pack. Definitely the best investment of time during my time in Singapore. I strongly recommend you to join the tour, you'll not regret it. Thanks Jan, you rock!

Review Body: We had an awesome time with Darren out on the waters! He was passionate, knowledgeable and had GREAT energy! Not forgetting that he also took good care of us! This kayaking tour would be great for anyone who loves nature and is interested to explore Singapore in a different way (while sneaking in some exercise at the same time😆). There is a lot to see and learn about mangroves, birds, and whatever organisms that Darren spots and shares about along the way. This is also a chance to enjoy the calming serenity on the waters at some points. Definitely would recommend this to all my friends!

Review Body: I highly recommend this tour. Our guide Darren was very well informed and eager to give us a better understanding about life in Singapore. Even though the tour with 5h seems quite long, the time passed by very quickly with Darren's entertaining stories and the variety of the program. The tour includes 3 food stops, so you do not have to worry to get hungry in between. Also, we visited during the tour multiple locations with AC to recover from time to time from the Singapore heat. The tour ends on top of a viewing platform of a residential building, giving one a great view over Singapore.

Review Body: Darren was incredible. Very knowledgeable about the area and the history. Kind, welcoming and supportive. The hike is for most fitness types but be sure to bring water. Your trainers will get muddy! Darren carries some small refreshments for you to enjoy along the way. Kelvin from Leica was great at helping out with any camera questions and a great addition to the tour. I would 100% recommend this as an off-the-beaten-track experience of Singapore - something that most will never experience. Plus the opportunity to use a Leica is an experience in itself.

Review Body: If you’re looking for an adventure, I would 10/10 recommend this! You will be captivated by the beauty of nature and be twice as knowledgeable after. ;) The initial thought of having to kayak in open waters and away from civilisation for half a day was quite intimidating. However, the entire trip was well thought through by Darren with lots of informative breaks in between so you can catch a breather if you need to. For someone who can’t swim and is highly unfit, i thoroughly enjoyed myself and would love to experience this again.
