Review Body: Highly recommended for value for money. Of course, you shouldn't expect the luxury of a beach resort, as the options are simply not available in the exposed waterfront location of the national park. It's absolutely clean, the food is excellent, and the portions are almost impossible to handle. Restrooms and showers are also plentiful in two easily accessible, floating restroom buildings. No electricity during the day until 6 p.m., and the generator runs until 8 a.m. Keep this in mind when charging various batteries; as far as I know, this is the case everywhere in the national park.

Review Body: Accommodation in Cheow Lan Dam is affordable. There are shared bathrooms and electricity to use for a period of time. Suitable for coming as a group of friends. and come in pairs or come as a family Quite a lot of foreign tourists come to visit. There are restaurants providing services and canoes for paddling. Can play in the water and can feed fish

Itinerary Description: 14:00 – Aankomst bij het resort, inchecken in je kamer en wat vrije tijd. Je kunt zwemmen in de rivier naast het resort. 16:00 – Verzamelen in de lobby, daarna een rit van 15 minuten naar het startpunt van de bamboevlottocht. 16:15 – Start van het bamboeraften op de Sok-rivier. Geniet van de schoonheid van de hoge kalkstenen kliffen en houd je ogen open — misschien spot je net om de hoek een aap! 17:30 – Terug bij het resort 19:30 – Laatste bestelling voor het diner
Itinerary Day 2
Itinerary Summary: Boottocht op het meer, jungletrek, bamboevlot, bezoek aan Coral Cave & zwemmen bij het drijvende vlotverblijf
Itinerary Description: 8:00 uur - Geniet van een ontbijtbuffet 8:45 uur - Check uit bij je kamer en maak je klaar om door de minibus naar het volgende punt te worden gebracht 9:00 uur – Aankomst bij het check-inpunt 10:00 uur – Aankomst bij de pier. 10:30 - 11:00 uur - Tijd om uit te varen! Stap op een longtailboot en vaar over het smaragdgroene water van het Cheow Lan-meer, omringd door torenhoge kalkstenen kliffen. 11:45 uur - 12:00 uur – Aankomst bij je drijvende vlotverblijf. Installeer je in je knusse kamer en geniet van de rustige sfeer van het meer. De lunch wordt geserveerd in het restaurantgedeelte. Geniet van een heerlijke Thaise lunch bij het vlotverblijf, omringd door prachtig uitzicht op het meer — een goede basis voor het avontuur dat voor je ligt! Het eten is superlekker. 13:00 uur – Ga richting het "Guilin van Thailand" (Khao Sam Klur) en vervolg je tocht naar Coral Cave. Maak je klaar voor een mooie natuurervaring met jungletrek, bamboevlottocht en een verkenning van de grot! Om Coral Cave te bereiken, begin je met een jungletrek van 30 tot 40 minuten over een mooi bospad. Deze lichte wandeling is geschikt voor elk conditieniveau en geeft je de kans om onder hoge bamboebossen en weelderige regenwoudkruinen te lopen terwijl je van de natuurlijke schoonheid van de omgeving geniet. Na de trek stap je op een bamboevlot voor een tocht van 10 minuten over een rustige waterweg, omringd door kalkstenen kliffen en kalme junglezichten. Zodra je bij de ingang van de grot aankomt, stap je naar binnen voor een verkenning van 20 minuten in deze fascinerende ondergrondse wereld. In Coral Cave ontdek je indrukwekkende stalactieten en stalagmieten die zich in miljoenen jaren hebben gevormd en op koraalstructuren lijken. In de grot vind je ook fossielen van eencellige zeedieren in het kalksteen, die naar schatting 250 tot 400 miljoen jaar oud zijn! 17:00 uur – Terug bij het vlotverblijf. Koel af met een duik in het kristalheldere water of stap in een kajak om op je eigen tempo op verkenning te gaan. 19:00 uur – Geniet van een heerlijke Thaise maaltijd terwijl de zon achter de kalkstenen kliffen zakt. Leun daarna lekker achterover, kijk naar de sterren en luister naar de geluiden van de jungle.

Riverside jungle lodge + Cheow Lan Lake — the best of both worlds!
This 3D2N adventure is perfect for travellers who want to experience the best of both jungle and lake in Khao Sok without spending most of the trip in transit. Unlike many tours that start from Khao Sok Village and require long transfers (~1hr) to the lake, this one starts just 15 minutes away! That means you get more time exploring Khao Sok’s Sok River and Cheow Lan Lake, and less time on the road.You’ll spend your first night in a lovely riverside resort and the next in a modern capsule-style raft house with private rooms (and proper mattresses!) floating gently on the emerald lake waters. Of all the raft houses we’ve tried, this one had the best food by far. It’s also the closest to the pier, so you skip the long boat rides — plus it’s got super nice rooms, a bar with cocktails, and (fun fact for animal lovers) even a golden retriever and cat on site!It’s a great option for chilled-out adventurers, couples, or small groups keen for a couple of peaceful days. Those who love soaking in the views will get a kick out of the jungle treks and serene boat rides - there’s also always a chance of spotting monkeys, hornbills, or maybe even a cheeky langur. Hoi, ik ben Pairat! De liefde van mijn familie voor natuur en gemeenschap staat centraal in alles wat we doen. Mijn vader begon dit avontuur met een droom: een plek creëren waar mensen echt in contact konden komen met de schoonheid van Khao Sok. Wat begon als een eenvoudig idee groeide uit tot een plek aan de rivier, omringd door indrukwekkende bergen, gebouwd met zorg en respect voor het land. We werken nauw samen met locals, van onze koks tot onze gidsen, om een warme, gastvrije plek te creëren waar gasten zich thuis voelen. Elk detail, van onze natuurlijke materialen tot de verse, lokaal ingekochte maaltijden, laat zien hoe belangrijk duurzaamheid en gemeenschap voor ons zijn.
