City Sprouts started with a simple idea: that even in land-scarce Singapore, farming could be a way to bring people closer - to food, to nature, and to one another.
Founded as a social enterprise, City Sprouts transforms underused urban spaces into community farms where people don’t just grow food, but grow together. Their farms welcome seniors, youths and individuals with special needs as active participants, creating shared spaces for learning, contribution and connection.
Working closely with public agencies and local communities, City Sprouts shows that even in a dense city, food can still be grown with care, and that farming can be as much about communities as it is about produce.
