About Bali BeansSince 1985 Bali Beans had a single dream – to make organic and premium Balinese coffee accessible and affordable to every coffee lover around the world.Bali Beans, apart from focusing on the best coffee growing techniques, all in the most environmentally-friendly way, put their heart and soul into growing their farming community in an ethical manner. They are attentive to the needs of their farmers and do everything it takes to involve them throughout each and every single aspect of coffee production.Growing the next generation of farmers involves education, training, and a change in mindset. Bali Beans constantly prove that they can stay traditional in their beliefs in protecting the environment while being innovative in the way to process and deliver their beans, which are apt for modern brewing techniques. Their approach to coffee production is now attracting young Balinese farmers who are looking forward to changing the face of coffee production in the region. What to ExpectFarm Visit - In this unique experience, you will enjoy the ‘crop-to-cup’ route of their premium Balinese coffee. Bali Beans will take you through each step from hand-harvesting fresh ripe cherries, to the detailed and meticulous process involved to achieve the final distinctive full flavor you sip from your cup each morning. Meet farmers and experts who harvest and roast the perfect premium Balinese coffee you cherish each day. And while you are at it, enjoy the panoramic Kintamani views, learn about our organic produce and understand how we keep our plantations eco and organically-friendly.If you are lucky, you might even be able to get a close look at the highly acclaimed wild Luwak excrement; the source of the world’s most expensive coffee! Bali Beans is one of the rare farms in Indonesia that sustainably harvests Luwak coffee. The Luwaks here are are wild and not caged up. Harvesting is only done from naturally collected Luwak excrement, so Luwaks are left wild and unharmed. Over the years, we have worked hard to educate fellow farmers in our Subak Abian to move away from commodity coffee into higher quality more sustainable speciality coffee production. This involves less intensive farming practices which are better for the environment and healthier for the farmers plus the community as a whole. By growing, processing and roasting our own beans, we ensure we have control over every step of the coffee journey and we established our brand “Bali Beans” with the company moto being “From Crop to Cup” to reflect our commitment to direct trade.

Really enjoyed our visit to Bali Beans. The staff was very warm and knowledgable. Learned a lot about history of coffee in Bali and it's importance to the global coffee trade. And the organically grown coffee is delicious! Brought some home with me :)

10 out of 10 experience! Must visit whilst in Bali. We have been looking for an ethical plantation, that doesn't keep animals in cages to produce Luwak coffee, although the Bali Beans plantation grows only Arabica beans, they do have limited edition wild Luwak coffee. Animal wonder freely around the plantation and not being put in the small cages to suffer. The team is absolutely amazing, made our time at the plantation to remember! We got to see how the coffee being made and end up in our cup every morning! Super informative experience and absolutely welcoming atmosphere! Cannot recommend enough!

Our team had a great tour of the coffee plantation. They explained us all the processes they use and the history of the plantation. If you want to know more about coffee, this is the place to be. __

We went for a day trip to visit this hidden gem instead of one of the more frequented plantations. Best decision! We did the tour around the plantation, followed by a tasting. People were super friendly and passionate about coffee. Everybody took as much time as we wanted to discuss anything about coffee - really great experience! If you want to visit a plantation were high quality specialty coffee is produced and roasted then this is the perfect place!
