This was one of the best experiences I’ve ever done. Highly recommend this version of the loop, the guides take you to a lot of off the track spots and the camping is a must.
The guides are amazing, they are so knowledgeable, passionate and high energy.
I ended up adding an extra day I loved it that much!

This loop tour was super nice—full of good energy, fun, laughter, good food, and amazing views! The drivers are really kind and caring. Iguor, the main tour guide, was so full of energy, knowledgeable, super fun, and good at taking pictures!
It was also well-organized. They keep you posted by WhatsApp for pick-up and drop-off, and during the tour, the program is laid out every day and adapted depending on the weather, how tired the group is, etc.
They always make sure to take you to authentic routes, not always the touristy ones.
I highly recommend this tour in particular!!

Ha Giang has quickly become one of our favourite experiences - beautiful views, wonderful people and just a liberating experience on the motorbikes. Experienced a minor hiccup with the pickup in Hanoi but our host quickly recovered and the rest of the trip was perfect. Camp site was so nice and the home-stays were all great too!!

Wow I don’t know what I want to start off! Let’s me say it was one of the best things I’ve decided to do. Well, my trip was a bit different than most people. I started the trip without a group so I kind of have a private trip. The first night I stayed at Ha Giang Eco Stone House. It was so beautiful! Family is so friendly the house is cozy and lovely. The first road trip I did the most tourists things but the time my guide took me to visit. It was no one there so it like a private trip. The night, I stayed in Toong Homestay, omg it was amazing place. What a view! Small village but full of love and simple life. Next day, it was a slow morning and meet the group at launch time. I believe the town call Yen Minh, it’s definitely my favorite restaurant so far of the trip. After, meeting the group we drove to the camping site. The road to get there was not easy so don’t be surprised but the view it worth every bit of it. Hotpot night is a must for the cold weather and a cool place. Morning of the view and kayaking was beautiful. I spent my morning there and then kind of finished up the rest of the trip. The road was misty very misty, and the ride was freezing cold. In the end I love it!
For whoever is looking for the perfect trip like this, please see my suggestion:
- Be prepared for the cold and wet conditions.
- Pack light, but make sure you have your jacket, pants (winter pants or raincoat).
- Have gloves with you
- Take some rest a long the way
- Your butt is going to hurt so much but it will get better when you see the view.

Amazing trip. Ha Giang is absolutely memorable and mystifying. Ha Giang, like the rest of Vietnam is full of surprises. One minute you're observing a Hmong lady crossing the road with a basket full of sticks, the next you're dancing in the city square at night with a bunch of strangers around a bonfire. The blokes from Ha Giang Expeditions are top notched. They go above and beyond to ensure our comfort. We were well fed and spoiled. Super comfy rooms, expected to rough it out at the campsite but that was more like glamping. An absolute blast and I will be back to see Ha Giang in a different season.

I joined the "3D3N Ha Giang Adventure" at the end of January 2025 and had a great time! Thanks so much to Phuong (from Ha Giang Expeditions) and Chang (Driver/Guide).
This tour really does take you off the beaten path and away from the large groups (which you'll only encounter at some of the viewpoints). You take some smaller routes and it's a real exhilarating ride!
It was just me and 1 other traveller. We got to experience the full range of weather: Day 1 was a little hazy, Day 2 was sunny (perfect for waking up at the campsite/kayaking), Day 3 was foggy (with a little rain). Travelling this time of year, you may get to see some beautiful spring blossoms.
The homestays (Eco Stone House) were amazing. The food was also great. The campsite is also excellent -- there's a full bathroom (hot shower/toilet) and even a power outlet up to your tent.
For Night 3 in Dong Van, the campfire and traditional dances take place on Saturdays or Weekends (if you can time your trip to it), but you'll still have a great time going out for Karaoke on a Weekday.
