Had the most wonderful time at the blacksmithing knife workshop! Super friendly people, helping you create a beautiful knife. If you're into cooking this is the best souvenir to take home from Vietnam. The workshop was really interesting and so much fun, highly recommend this!

Nick is a fine young man who speaks and holds himself well. He was incredibly attentive to our group’s comfort throughout our tour, always making sure to seat us where there was good ventilation given how warm the weather was. He was also highly mindful of our dietary needs, taking great care with allergies and vegetarian requirements.

​We loved how he shared what locals typically have for breakfast and lunch, while also asking about our own home countries and food cultures. Anyone assigned to Nick for this tour can look forward to a good experience and great recommendations. We really enjoyed our walking food tour with him, especially the bún chả and mango dessert.

A very lovely tea experience; I learned a lot about Vietnamese tea

We loved our knife forging class. 

We were in Hanoi for 6 weeks and wanted something different to do - look no further. 

Thanh is very organised and communicated efficiently with us over WhatsApp once the class was booked. The instructions are clear and detailed so no surprises on the day. 

The family of blacksmiths welcomed us into their workshop. We couldn’t communicate verbally but they know their stuff and guided us through the whole knife making process through demonstration and actively helping us because it’s a skill, requires effort and it’s not that easy. Thanh was always on hand to translate if we didn’t understand anything. The family had our safety in mind and kept an eye on us all the time because you are working with metal, fire and machinery. 

We are very proud of our knives and they will be a cherished souvenir when we get home - we cook a lot.
