Review Body: My guide was Kadek along with a driver. They were early for pick up so it was a great start! My hotel was at seminyak so the drive from seminyak to Sideman village was 2 hours. By the time we reached it was 11am and Kadek brought me around the perimeter of the rice terrace. It is in the valley of the mountains, so the walk was indeed 2hrs up. We had to walk along the embankment (sort of) so the path was narrow for most parts. I was the only one on tour so Kadek very kindly let me hold his hand in case this city folk got clumsy and lost balance and tumbled down the terraces 😅 Kadek was extremely knowledgeable about the vegetation in the area, pointing to me the different crops that the farmers grow in place of rice once the rice is harvested. He even dug some ground nuts for me to try. It was a very enjoyable and informative trek and the view of the terrace was absolutely breathtaking 😍

Review Body: Koman my guide, was proof that great knowledge and insights communicated clearly are far more compelling than being kept busy with a bike ride or a lunch ir a waterfall. Pure information without any distractions.
Koman didn’t just merely recite some script but tether as the son of farmers, he shared the evolution of rice farming and the current challenges of allocation of water resources, pressures to convert rice fields to development , and issues of soil quality and pest control.
If this sounds boring and academic, trust me, Koman articulated himself in an incredibly simple and accessible way. His info got me thinking not just listening!
The scenery is of course beautiful. And no other tourists in sight!

Review Body: I went on a guided Sidemen rice terrace trekking with my friends, and it was amazing! We saw how the locals live and work around the rice fields - it was a real eye-opener. The people in Sidemen village were really friendly and we had a great time learning about their way of life. We even got to see how much work goes into maintaining the rice fields as we walked through them.
Overall, it was really fun trekking with Agus, he is witty and funny, and knows everything about the area and I totally recommend it to anyone who wants a cool cultural experience in Bali.
The rice terraces were beautiful and the guide and locals made the whole thing unforgettable. Don't miss out on this adventure!

Review Body: Walking through the rice terraces of Sidemen with our guide was very informative and eye opening. We got a much better understanding of the importance of rice to the Balinese. It was also a very pleasant and picturesque walk, with the afternoon sun giving the fields a golden glow. You'll definitely get muddy! Can even take off your shoes and give your feet a little mud spa treatment :) Best part of all is that there are no other tourists around! You get to explore this place all to your self.

Review Body: The perfect itinerary and the perfect guide. We are fortunate enough to have been on many guided treks as we have been travelling a long time. However, todays guide, Kadek, was probably the best we have ever had. He was so kind, informative, and patient. His knowledge of the local area was impeccable and he showed us a route that felt untouched, which he later said was not known by many people. I can’t thank Kadek enough for his help and wish him the best going forward. Thank you.

Review Body: We really enjoyed our time on the rice paddy tour with our guide (I remember his name as Keni but I may have the spelling wrong!) - sweet, patient, and full of knowledge to share. We'd highly recommend it -- with covered shoes, mosquito repellent, and sunblock! And some tolerance and amusement when it comes to insects/ small bites in general.

Review Body: The guide is very nice, a local man who knows a lot and answers your questions very kindly. He helped us buy and try fruits at the fruit market, showed us the rice fields and told stories of everyday life. I think this is a very nice way to get to know the agriculture of Sidemen and Bali in general.

Review Body: It was great to see a part of the 'original' Bali in the traditional rice paddies and villages around Sidemen. The walk was really interesting with our guide explaining how the rice is cultivated and irrigated. Very good trip to do with kids!

Review Body: Our friendly guide, Wayan, took us on a long and interesting walk through the rice terraces. We winded our way through fields, along irrigation canals. Towards the end, the trekking was more challenging than I had expected, including wading through a river (though-high only) but with Wayan's expert help, we mastered that.

Review Body: The guide was super friendly but the whole tour can be improved. We saw amazing scenery, however we wish we received proper instructions on what foot gear to wear as the trail was very muddy and we didn’t come prepared. Also, we weren’t provided with much knowledge, facts or stories about the place.
