Review Body: INCREDIBLE - just to desctibe it in one word. My sister and I wanted to have an eco friendly, sustainable and nature related tour to get to know the mangrove environment and wildlife better and our tour guide, Selva, exceeded our expectations. We had an amazing time, kajaking away from mass tourism and we even went for a swim in the Mangroves!!!! This was just a unique experience (we are usually afraid of unknown water, but Selva made us feel 100% safe and we just didnt want to miss out on this unbelievable cool moment). Very important to mention here, we didnt want to visit the caves on purpose as tourists disturb the ecosystem and bats which inhabit the caves, but as visitors we should rather protect this unique nature and animals. Please do not book the cave tours to not disturb the bats and support conservation.
Selva knows everything about this place, explained us about the animals and plants, history and far beyond. We will never forget the time we spent with Selva and want to thank him for this amazing moments we shared with him.

Review Body: If you’re in Langkawi and looking for something beyond the usual shopping and beach stops, this mangrove trip is something you shouldn’t miss. It was such a refreshing experience and the forest is just so beautiful. As someone coming from a biology background, I’m usually out looking for wildlife with a bit of a “research mindset” but this felt different. It was less about observing, and more about simply being present in nature.
The trip starts at Kilim Karst Geoforest Park, where we spent about two hours kayaking through the mangroves, passing limestone hills and quietly spotting wildlife along the way. Everything felt undisturbed and unhurried, which made the whole experience even more special.
Uncle Selva’s way of story sharing really brings the ecosystem to life. You can tell how much he cares for the environment and his positive energy made the trip all the more enjoyable!
It was genuinely a grounding and memorable experience and highly recommend if one wishes to see a different side of Langkawi ☀️🚣♀️💚

Review Body: What a lovely way to explore and learn about the mangroves - as well as a thousand other stories that Dharkshen shared with us. Before we even got onto the kayaks I was hooked - from world creation tales to personal stories of time spent in the mangroves, anecdotes and jokes, it was a pleasure to be in the company of someone so intelligent , funny, wise and kind. Her care, passion and love of the environment was infectious and inspiring. The kayaking was so much fun, navigating through the winding web of the mangroves was a great test of team work, watching the way the tide slowly dropping and exposing the roots below, getting up close and personal with roaming monkeys, soaring eagles, otters, swarms of butterflies fluttering as we paddled, and stopping for multiple swim breaks was a highlight. There is something so magical about the water around the mangroves. What an honour to have be able to swim there!

Review Body: It was our family’s first kayaking experience, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better one. From the moment we arrived, Adik Dharkshen welcomed us with such warmth and made us feel comfortable throughout the entire journey.
We were incredibly fortunate to witness Langkawi’s majestic mangroves and encounter some of its beautiful residents, including otters, birds, and monkeys. The experience was both breathtaking and memorable.
Thank you, Adik Dharkshen, for being such a wonderful, knowledgeable, and insightful guide. Your kindness and patience also made the trip extra special for our 8-year-old son, who thoroughly enjoyed your company. We truly appreciate the care and passion you brought to the experience. 💕 Highly recommended!

Review Body: Fabulous start to our Langkawi trip! Dharkshen was very knowledgeable, kind and patient, taking us round all of the mangroves and pointing out flora & fauna en route that we would’ve otherwise missed. She has proudly continued her papa Selva’s conservation & education work, Malaysia needs more people like them to help protect the precious nature we’re so privileged to have.
Highly recommended tour and so much more personalised than the usual boat mangrove tours!

Review Body: Had a wonderful experience going on mangrove tour by kayak with Selva. He is very knowledgeable about the flora and fauna in the area, even reciting the Latin names of the plants and mimicking bird calls. Entering the mangroves on kayak was a magical experience - as if it was another world under a canopy of pale green light. I would highly recommend Selva and would not hesitate to engage him for his other tours.

Review Body: My husband and I had an absolutely amazing time in the mangroves and Dee was such a big part of our experience. She was so knowledgable, enthusiastic and friendly. It was an absolute pleasure taking the tour with her. She took us to her secret places, and we enjoyed a lovely swim in the mangroves. I would recommend this tour to everyone and definitely recommend asking for Dee.

Review Body: One of the best activities to do in Langkawi. We took the kayaks in early August and it was just us through the Mangroves. Dharkshen is a very knowledgeable guide on ecotourism and anything to do with her home island. She shares her enthousiasm and passion for nature which makes this an unforgettable experience. Really recommend doing this over any mangrove cruise.

Review Body: Fantastic late morning in the silence of the mangrove disturbed only by the swish of the paddles and the calls of the birds.
Selva’s untold stories are so interesting too.

Skip the motorboat cruise. Explore Langkawi at a slower pace.
Kayak through Langkawi's mangroves and ancient limestone with a veteran dad-daughter naturalist duo.Explore the forest between land and sea, with ancient limestone surrounding the waters of the UNESCO Global Geopark, with local naturalists who have spent the last 25 years observing and taking notes. The tide of the hour will reveal the many wildlife that reside within the complex roots, from the resident White-bellied Sea Eagle soaring high up in the sky to landing on its nest built on the limestone 25m above the water. As you walk through the forest, paddle through the labyrinth and jump in for a soothing dip, your guide will share the stories connecting geology, science, nature and local knowledge. Together, we open our minds and connect the dots by imemersing with nature and within this time in the wilderness. What makes this experience special is the way your guides bring nature to life. Instead of simply pointing out trees or wildlife, they dive deeper into how it all came about and explore the symbiosis between nature and humans. One has to be curious enough to enjoy the spontaneous journey in the mangroves: chuck away the checklist and appreciate the moment. Depending on luck and tide patterns, you will enjoy observing elusive otters looking for fresh catch, mangrove pit vipers resting calmly on the branches, raptors and kingfishers targeting their prey or mudskippers digging deeper into the cooling alluvial mud or walking backwards and into their hideout. Rain or shine, you are in for a treat to explore one of Mother Nature's most resilient ecosystems found within the equator and ancient Langkawi. What to ExpectGuided nature walk through Langkawi’s UNESCO Geopark forestKayak through quiet mangrove labyrinth and tidal creeks Explore local plants and wildlife and the local nusantara culture with the Selvas Spot mangrove and limestone residents and migratory animals along the way.
