Sleep on an offshore rig and dive Sabah’s legendary waters
If you've ever wondered what it's like to sleep on an offshore oil rig in the middle of the ocean, this is probably the closest you'll get. This converted oil rig is now one of the world's most unusual dive bases, anchored between Mabul, Kapalai and Sipadan in the heart of Semporna, Sabah.Instead of spending hours travelling back and forth each day, you'll already be where the diving begins. Enjoy up to three boat dives a day around Mabul, Kapalai and nearby reefs. Enjoy a full day diving at one of the world's most celebrated dive sites, Sipadan, where you'll explore its famous walls alongside turtles, schooling barracuda, reef sharks and other incredible marine life. Your Sipadan dive day will be scheduled based on permit allocation. The rig itself is part of the adventure. Over the years, its submerged legs have become an artificial reef teeming with marine life, so you can make the most of unlimited buddy dives on the house reef whenever conditions allow. It's a favourite spot for spotting macro life, making night dives, or simply squeezing in one more dive before dinner. This isn't a luxury resort, and that's exactly the appeal. Rooms are simple but comfortable, meals are hearty, and life revolves around diving. Evenings are spent swapping wildlife sightings with fellow divers before another day underwater. For passionate divers, underwater photographers, and anyone who values time in the water over fancy facilities, it's hard to beat. What to ExpectJoin-in 4D3N dive stay on a converted offshore rig with an air-conditioned en-suite cabinReturn land transfers from Tawau Airport or town to Semporna, plus return boat transfers to the rigBuffet-style full-board meals, tea break, and free-flow drinking water, coffee and tea on boardOrientation dive on Day 1 if you arrive in time and conditions allow3 boat dives per day on Days 2 and 3 around Mabul, Kapalai, Sipadan or nearby sitesUnlimited house reef diving with a buddy, time and weather permittingA full-day Sipadan dive trip (3 dives) is included. Lerne deinen Gastgeber kennen
