Review Body: Brought a friend to try this out. I personally find it fun and happy that i get to make my own drink! But i have low tolerance for alcohol so in the midst of the tour i went to the toilet and puked a little, thereafter i returned but still feel a little hard to stand still so i squatted. Aileen checked on me to find out if i was ok and also offered me a chair to seat but i rejected kindly. As soon as i got on the second level, another female staff (sorry i didn't get her name) came to me who was right at the back and asked if i would like to have some water. So i said yes. The fact that she came all the way to the back to look for me meant that Aileen must have informed her colleague. Before the start of the alcohol tasting, the same female staff offered me some chocolates as a base so my stomach may feel better. Indeed, it helped! The way Aileen speaks was also easy to be heard and understood. Though i have low tolerance for alcohol, i still find this tour an enjoyable one. Will recommend to my friends!

Review Body: Did you know that Singapore has a Gin distillery? We just experienced this and it was quite a delicious experience. We came to the Brass Lion expecting to learn a bit about gin. Aileen introduced us to how we can make our own singapore sling - imagine this drink was made for the ladies in singapore back in the day😉 The amount of alcohol in this drink is quite a lot- please do experience this. And then we had the tour of the distillery, and learned how the process works. Ended tasting 8 different variations of gin tastes. Tipsy and awesome 🙌

Review Body: The tour was interesting and informative, and the staff were so kind! They went out of their way to let us try all their gins (which were delicious), made us feel really comfortable and taken care of, and even surprised us with a baked Camembert for a birthday celebration. The place is beautiful, and it’s so nice to understand the story of a local gin distillery. I didn’t quite enjoy the Singapore sling I made, but that was probably a user error, and still a fun experience :)

Review Body: Was such an informative and engaging session at Brass Lion Distillery. We were given explanations on the distillation process and the unique local botanicals that give Brass Lion its signature flavour. It was fascinating to learn how each ingredient contributes to the final taste. The session was both educational and enjoyable... a lovely way to appreciate the craftsmanship behind Singapore’s own gin.

Our mixologist taught us how to make a Singapore Sling using their own gin, and the brand ambassador explained what makes their product uniquely Singaporean. It was fun to make, delicious and doing your own cocktail and having taste better than bar creations a discovery. The distillery tour was fascinating. Our host Eileen was fabulous. Really brought the story telling to life.

Review Body: It’s a special thing to learn from those who are devoted to a craft. The tour was fascinating and they didn’t scrimp on the gin sharing. Brass Lion is a Singapore treasure and they make excellent gins for a variety of palates. A great way to spend an afternoon!

Review Body: The Gin was absolutely wonderful. The Dry gin was the standard classic one, but their butterfly pea gin is out of the world. The experience of learning how to make Singapore sling was also great. Overall, great experience!

Itinerary Description: Eine Reise mit Gin – diese Tour gibt dir exklusiven Zugang zu unserer aktiven Destillerie. Zum Auftakt gibt es einen Welcome-Drink, und du kannst den Bartender in dir wecken, während du kurz etwas über die Geschichte des Singapore Sling erfährst und die Gelegenheit bekommst, deinen eigenen Singapore Sling zu shaken. Anschließend erzählen wir dir kurz etwas über die Geschichte des Gins und darüber, wie Brass Lion entstanden ist. Du lernst die Botanicals kennen, aus denen unser Singapore Dry Gin besteht, und bekommst den Destillationsprozess erklärt. Zum Abschluss gibt es ein Tasting-Set unserer Signature-Gins, begleitet von einem leichten Snack.

Jamie Koh ist die Gründerin von Singapurs erster einheimischer Mikrodestillerie. 2017 merkte sie, dass etwas fehlte – Singapur hatte keine Spirituose, die es seine eigene nennen konnte. Also krempelte sie die Ärmel hoch und legte los: Sie lernte von Meisterdestillateuren in Deutschland, experimentierte mit lokalen Zutaten aus Wet Markets und Läden für traditionelle chinesische Medizin und setzte sich sogar für Singapurs erste Destillerielizenz ein. Heute stellt ihre Destillerie dank ihrer Entschlossenheit einen unverwechselbar singapurischen Gin mit südostasiatischen Botanicals her. Jamies Weg drehte sich nicht nur darum, ein Getränk zu schaffen – sondern Singapur eine Spirituose zu geben, die sich wirklich nach Zuhause anfühlt.
