The Mount Batur hiking experience in Bali offers more than just a challenging trek up to the summit for an incredible sunrise view. This is perfect for those who want to really understand the Balinese way of life. The journey also includes a visit to a nearby village where you can witness the daily lives of the locals and explore farms and fields filled with crops like tomatoes and onions. The knowledgeable and friendly guides will share their insights and personal experiences about village life.What to expectThe Mount Batur ascent takes approximately two hours, starting early in the day to catch the stunning sunrise at the summit, with views of Mt Agung and Mt Abang.A warm jacket and long trousers are necessary to bear the cold temperature at the top.Afterward, the guide takes you through the local farms and villages, where you can learn about the Balinese way of life in the village. As your guide will be a local from the area you should make sure to ask them about their personal experience. They will be happy to share!Optional add-ons An optional add-on to the experience is a visit to the nearby hot springs where you can relax your sore musclesThe natural hot springs come in different grades, and they are believed to have healing powers due to the minerals present in the water.Natural Hot Spring GRADE A: These natural hot spring feature eight natural hot spring pools, one warm Olympic-sized pool and waterslides. This is the quieter and less touristed option.Natural Hot Spring GRADE B: These natural hot springs feature four types of pools facing Lake Batur, making for a beautiful view.

Hi I'm Justin. The reason I started is because I like meeting and learning from new people and making new friends from around the world. Every person I meet is different and each has their own stories and lessons which I can learn from. Day in day out, I meet guests from different backgrounds and character, from good to bad, and as surprising as it sounds, even the bad ones have taught me lessons to carry forward.
Other times, it is like a life cycle, and I feel like I am in this cycle offering my help to them. For example, some of our guests who come to Bali seek self-solace. peace or solutions away from difficult and challenging times, and I would often share with them the experiences and lessons I have gathered from my guests in the past. More often than not, these advices have helped them find an answer or consolation which help them to move forward, and this is part of what I find rewarding in this job.
That's why even though I already have other businesses, I continue to be a guide and I do this with joy. I feel that my car is my "classroom" and I learn from people all around the world.
Even though sometimes I need to sacrifice a lot of my time and energy in this job, compared to my other businesses, I am really blessed to be able to continue doing this for the team, for myself, for the local community and for people around the World.
That is why with each team member that I recruit, I try to share these values with them and have the same high requirements and standards for them :)
