Craft your own mountain gin or fragrance from Chiang Dao
What if your next favourite creation didn’t come from a shelf, but from your own hands and the wild mountains of Chiang Dao?On this 3D2N getaway, you'll get to make either your own gin, or your own fragrance! Forage for wild botanicals, ferment and distill your own gin, or extract essential oils and blend your own fragrances, perfumes, candles, and shower gels - inspired by Chiang Dao’s wild beauty.Chiang Dao has all these amazing wild herbs, teas, and spices, but many local farmers didn’t know how to turn them into something modern and artisanal that people could enjoy and come to know the beauty of Chiang Dao. Job and Pook, who traded the city life for Chiang Dao's mountains, wanted to help change that. They spent time with local farmers and village elders learning how to pick, process, and transform these ingredients into gin and perfume. These three days won't just be a workshop experience - it’s a chance to connect deeply with the land, meet the locals who care for it, and bring home your own creation inspired by the mountains.Wild Gin WorkshopForage wild botanicals - fresh herbs, fruits, and rare mountain spicesLearn to ferment and distill a gin base infused with the mountain’s unique flavoursTake home your very own handcrafted bottle of gin, bursting with local characterWild Fragrance WorkshopGather aromatic plants, flowers, and herbs from the forest and gardenDiscover traditional methods of extracting essential oils and hydrosolsBlend your own natural perfume, scented candles, and shower gelsBring home your custom-made natural fragrance creationsWhere you’ll stayRest in comfortable mountain accommodations surrounded by quiet forest at the end of each day, with meals made from fresh, local ingredients grown in Job and Pook's garden and sourced from nearby farms. Meet your host

Job and Pook are a couple who swapped the busy streets of Bangkok for the quiet beauty of Chiang Dao. They’ve built a home in the mountains that doubles as a place for learning, sharing, and enjoying good food. What started with a curiosity about local ingredients soon grew into a hands-on journey with tea—learning everything from picking to fermenting. Since 2019, they’ve been inviting others to join them in workshops that explore food, nature, and local traditions. Their small garden, lovingly tended with organic methods, and their strong ties with local farmers show how rooted they are in their community. Job and Pook’s place is more than just a home—it’s where connections are made.
