Review Body: Our guide Lana was very knowledgeable and skilled and also a delight to talk with! We (me and three friends) made the Bun Cha street food with Fried Nem, and did a tour of the nearby market. The food turned out delicious, and Lana and the other chef (I didn't catch her name) were excellent at managing the kitchen and made sure we all were learning something and had something to do. We cut veggies and meat, arranged the pork in the grill traps, rolled the Nem, and then fried the nem and grilled (and fanned the grill!) the pork. There was also fresh fruit and tea at several points throughout the session. This was easily one of the highlights of our trip and I would highly recommend it to anyone, from the uninitiated cook to the master amateur chef, there will be something to learn and a great time to be had!

Review Body: Undoubtedly the highlight of my trip to Hanoi. Market tour was interesting/informative. Lana was a wonderful guide, knowledgeable regarding general Vietnamese culture and history, not just food. She was energetic, and spoke clearly. Cooking was enjoyable, with simple systematic steps provided for a somewhat complicated dishes (Bun Cha and Fried spring rolls). The result was SO DELICIOUS. Ambience was so cute with the little backyard. Wish we had more time to book a street food tour and egg coffee class also.

Review Body: We had had an amazing experience with Lana doing the Bun Cha class. We went together to a local market and she explained everything about the different types of vendors, different foods and the way Vietnamese people shop. She had lots of great stories about the history of the area as well!
We then went to cook together, and everything from the explanations to the food was amazing! I can really recommend this experience, it was the perfect way to start our visit to Hanoi!

Review Body: We had such a great time at the cooking class! Lana who led our session was so friendly and full of interesting facts and stories about Hanoi and Vietnam in general. But the real stand out has to be the food we cooked - helped by both Lana and expert Mrs Tui! Truly delicious. It was our last day before leaving the country and it ended up being the perfect memory to take with us back home. Could not recommend more.

Review Body: The cooking class was unique, authentic, and so much fun. With small groups, it offered a genuine insight into Vietnamese cuisine—and even daily life. The food was outstanding, and we learned so much. We can’t wait to go back home and recreate all the delicious Vietnamese dishes. Nikita is kind, engaging, and makes the experience even more enjoyable. We highly recommend this cooking class!

Review Body: Our instructor was very friendly and sweet...She explained everything clearly and gave us a lot of information on the local culture. And the food was excellent too... It also helped a lot that they arranged transport to the place and back. Great workshop, definitely recommend!

Hidden Hanoi was founded by a group of women born and bred in Hanoi. They met through their mutual passion for food and realised that they also share a desire to impart their culture and traditions to travellers through their cooking. They particularly find joy in sharing the recipes and methods of cooking which have been passed down through generations by their mothers and sisters. The goal of the women of Hidden Hanoi is to teach travellers the simple yet made with love recipes so they can take a little bit of Hanoi back to their home countries.
