Review Body: We loved this experience with Jaja. It’s quirky and fascinating and something totally different. Go with the flow and you’ll love it. Be prepared to walk across a small river barefoot (or bring water shoes) and enjoy Jaja’s hospitality at his outdoor jungle home. He’s quite a character. And the food was delicious. The only bit that was a bit pointless was the 5 minutes we spent on a raft as it didn’t take us anywhere, it was just for the sake of it. But the rest of it was great

Me and my girlfriend were the only ones on the tour, and I had notified beforehand that it was my girlfriend's birthday, so alongside the other delicious food we also made a cake in the Bambo. Jaja was great guide in the bambo kitchen, and me and we enjoyed every minute of it. Would definitely recommend

Review Body: An Unforgettable Jungle Experience with Wet in Khao Sok national park– One of the Best Guides We've Ever Had! We had the absolute pleasure of being guided by Wet (brother of Jaja) during our adventure in Khao Sok, and we can confidently say he was one of the best guides we've ever had – anywhere in the world. We’ve done many safaris in different countries, and Wet truly stands out. His professionalism, energy, and great sense of humor made the entire experience exceptional from start to finish. He speaks excellent English, is incredibly knowledgeable, and always made us feel safe and well cared for. Wet impressed us with his ability to spot wildlife that is extremely hard to find – from pythons, tarantulas, venomous snakes, civet cats, and langurs to frogs and many more. He even pointed out edible plants in the jungle like wild ginger, and explained their traditional uses. Every discovery came with interesting facts and insights. His deep understanding of the ecosystem brought the jungle to life for us. He took us to breathtaking waterfalls where we saw monkeys roaming freely in their natural habitat. One of the highlights was when he cooked us a delicious, healthy bamboo meal right in the middle of the jungle – fresh, simple, and full of flavor. Wet took photos for us throughout the tour and was always smiling, suggesting new things to try or explore. This was without a doubt one of the best jungle experiences we've ever had. Wet is a passionate, friendly, and outstanding guide who goes above and beyond to make the trip memorable. If you get the chance to explore Khao Sok with him – don’t hesitate. You’re in the best hands.

Review Body: Do not debate, just book now with Jaja. These guys are local to the area (not all guides are local) and extremely passionate and experienced about the outdoors. From what I researched and witnessed, these guides know more than other guides and are very attune to hearing, seeing, smelling to identify animals and plants quickly. We did a night trek with Jaja, a very fun, experienced guide who also is a hunter and very skilled at tracking animals. He knows so much about the animals, plants and the trails that he took us on some of the lesser used trails to seek more animals. We saw a variety of monkeys - langur, macaques and the luwak cat, some scorpions, spiders and other critters. We came across another tour with 10+ people and guide all shining their flashlights in the trees and the tour guide said no animals so they were about to walk away. Jaja says “the monkey is right there” and easily points his flashlight where everyone missed. I think that tells you a lot about his experience - he can point out many things other guides will miss. The following day we did a full day trek to Ton Kloi waterfall with Wes, who trained with Jaja before becoming a guide. He’s also a funny guy with lots of passion and knowledge about the jungle. He pointed out many animals and plants and let us taste a few plants like nuts, little peppers (for green curry), elephant apple and a some more. He also packed us a super tasty lunch we enjoyed during our waterfall swimming break. Both tours were fantastic and I really recommend if you want an exceptional jungle trip.

Review Body: Expérience géniale ! Nous avons adoré cette randonnée dans la jungle avec notre guide Arm. Il ne parle pas bien anglais, mais est d’une gentillesse et d’une bienveillance touchantes. Aussi, Jaja nous a accompagnés au début de la rando et nous étions accompagnés d’un autre couple dont le guide Wet parlait anglais. Cette randonnée d’environ 15km a débuté sur le chemin classique que tout le monde peut emprunter, jusqu’aux chemins où seuls les touristes accompagnés d’un guide peuvent continuer. Il fait très humide, prévoyez de quoi vous attacher les cheveux, peut-être vous changer si besoin. Le terrain peut être glissant alors veillez à porter des chaussures adaptées. La nature est luxuriante ! Nous avons vu des tas d’insectes et animaux dont un groupe de loutres. Nous étions seuls avec nos guides, loin des autres groupes, pour observer ces adorables loutres se baigner, jouer, manger… Un moment privilégié, possible grâce à notre guide qui à couru pour nous amener à l’endroit où elles allaient se rendre après les avoir seulement aperçues de loin. Notre déjeuner était super : du riz préparé avec du poulet et des légumes, un œuf au bord de l’eau, dans un calme absolu. Et des fruits coupés par nos guides. Merci infiniment pour cette superbe expérience. On a hâte de revenir !

Review Body: Wonderful experience for the most adventurous! We went for the jungle camping and did a lot of things in a day. Hiking in the rainforest (we saw snakes, spiders, lizards, etc), discovered amazing waterfalls, swam… We cooked on Bambú and Wet and Jaja tought us the tools, how to make them and use them. The food was completely delicious! Best date of my life (and I wasn’t even with my bf). We did a night swim and a night safari were we got the chance to see a baby deer. Slept in some hammocks (with mosquito net which was nice) in a really beautiful place. Enjoyed the jungle music all along. Wet guided us all along the day trekking, language barrier didn’t allow us to understand everything but still English was above average for Thailand so didn’t bother us as much. They were both amazing people and very fun guides to spend time with. We even learned a bit of Muay Thai skills. Born and raised in Khao Sok so they really know what the jungle is about. I would definitely come back for level 2 experience ! If you are looking for an adventurous experience in Thailand I really recommend it :)

Review Body: We did the overnight camping adventure with Jaja and Wes, and it was an unforgettable experience! Along the way, Jaja taught us essential jungle survival skills-like which herbs can heal wounds and which wild plants are edible. He also showed us how to truly use our eyes and ears to spot wildlife and tune into the sounds of nature. His sense of smell and sharp eyes were unbelievable! When we arrived at the campsite, Jaja set up our hammocks and began preparing dinner. We got to help with the jungle cooking, which was so much fun! After a delicious meal, we relaxed before heading out for the night safari. Despite the rain and darkness, Jaja’s incredible vision helped him spot a civet, langur, lizards, spiders, and even a bird! It was my first time camping in the jungle, but Jaja’s calm and friendly nature made me feel safe and comfortable the entire time. The sounds of the jungle as we drifted off to sleep in our hammocks were unforgettable. I can’t recommend this experience enough!

Review Body: Me and my boyfriend Benny we had yesterday a Incredible experience in the jungle with Yaya and Red (I do not know if the names are good written sorry). Both became enthusiastic and putting us into the jungle and how to respect it and live it. His great knowledge of this area helped us to know edible plants and see snakes, frogs, scorpions, tarantulas, monkeys ... then they stopped to teaching us how to cook ,with bamboo, rice and red curry (certain delicious) in a bonfire and Everything done for themselves. We ended up making a night walk where we could observe more animals in their natural habitat. Everything was perfect, Yaya was incredibly instructive,polite, funny, motivating, friendly and open to every question we made. I liked the respect and affection that he has of his home( the jungle )and as it transmits. Without a doubt the best experience and option you can choose to come to Kaoh Sok. I would definitely repeat if i come back. We love it!!!!!

Review Body: We loved every minute of this wonderful experience! You get picked up at the hotel and enter the Khao Sok National Park together, which is a full jungle experience and so beautiful. What makes this journey so great is the guide - we had the privilege to spend the day with Wet - he was very knowledgeable of the jungle and could tell us something new along the whole trip. We got to see monkeys, tarantulas, snakes, got to drink out of bamboo, ate ginger and more. The lunch spot was amazing too together with a delicious fried rice and fruits. We swam there and Wet gave us a little jungle gift at last. This is definitely a feel good trip, if you look for something a bit more sporty, you can go further down the river, there is even more to explore. For us it was great as it was. If you want to explore the jungle, you do need a guide, at a certain point there is a lock and anyways you don’t realize what is around when you are on your own. Thank you Wet!

Review Body: My husband and I were looking for a challenging hike into the jungle away from the crowds. We booked our tour expecting it to be with other people but it was just the 2 of us and our guide Max. It was amazing! Max offered us numerous options of trails and we decided on the most challenging. I say this because he was really flexible and just a fun person to be around and would have gone any direction we chose. The hike ended up at a beautiful waterfall with a refreshing swimming hole where he made us coffee using a bamboo shoot to boil the water (you have to see it to believe it). We chose to do the day long hike then the night time safari with a dinner meal that he cooked for us using bamboo as the "pots". It was incredibly delicious. He set up our meal on a table with candles. Very incredible experience! Will do it again if we are in Kao Sok!!!

Review Body: If you like being in the wild it will be the best experience you can get! I still cannot believe I did this, it was amazing and every moment was special. Jaja is a very good and knowledgeable guide who is local and has been in the jungle since he was a kid. I was lucky and it was just me and Jaja. The animal knowledge was incredible and I’m a biologist but he knows this area very well! The bamboo cooking and making plates and cups was so coooll!!! If u like camping do ittt! He really just wants you to enjoy everything and let’s u tastes plants and shows everything he can. I was amazing how much he cared about the environment and we cleaned up everything nothing was left in the site as well as other peoples things, he really believes in keeping it clean and natural which is not seen in most of the other national parks!

Review Body: The Half Day-Half Night Tour with Jaja is highly recommended. It was very interesting because he showed and explained many things to us, e.g. what the techniques are for spotting wild animals or how to recognize which animals are poisonous and which are not. Even though the normal paths past the waterfalls were closed, he made a lot of effort to find a suitable place for us to swim. Furthermore, the food cooked in the jungle was very tasty😁 Jaja is a very humorous guide who always has funny jokes and tries hard to please his customers. His English is also very easy to understand and with him you have the feeling of having an adventure in the jungle and not just another booked tour (as it sometimes is, unfortunately). He is very close to nature and has a lot of knowledge👍 Highly recommended🙃

Review Body: A fantastic day with our guide, Wet. His easygoing manner and enthusiasm were much appreciated by our family and his knowledge of the jungle was incredible. There is no way we would have seen that much wildlife without him. He took us off the beaten track when he had an instinct and it paid off. Cutting down plants and bamboo along the way made for a fun trek and the bamboo cooking surpassed our expectations. Swimming before dinner was much appreciated. We were all very hands on making the dinner and were astounded at how much you could make by cooking in bamboo and how delicious it was. Eating by candlelight was magical. He continued to seek out further insects on our night hike back. Thank you Wet for personalising this experience for us! One we will remember!

Initially was a little thrown as Jaja wasn’t actually doing our tour but his cousin Puen (I hope the spelling is correct!) but he was amazing, and took the tour at our pace - which was stopping at every little creature but also making it a big way into the jungle away from the crowds he was very knowledgeable and has a great sense of humour. It was so perfect having a privet tour and he took us to a gorgeous swimming location near the end where it was just us! We saw lots of different animals! And swam twice but you could swim at every stop. You can go Into the national park without a guid but only up to a point and we would have missed lots of snakes and animals if he wasn’t there to point them out! Thank you ❤️

Review Body: This is an amazing trek, and well worth the price. We were guided by Wet: always happy, helpful and kind. He knew everything about the plants, mushrooms, birds and monkeys. It was lovely having a private tour. We could take as long or short for things as we wanted. We spent ages looking at a troupe of monkeys, and I stopped at every mushroom. Some tips: this trek is not suitable for people who are in medium shape. It was muddy (dry day in rainy season), slippery and at some points truly climbing regardless of the season you go. Due to rainy season we had to take off our shoes several times to cross the river. Bring a little towel for your muddy feet.

Review Body: It is a brutal experience, we have loved discovering this wonderful place with our local guide who knows this piece of jungle like no one else, the ability that he has as your assistant to find animals in the jungle in the afternoon and at night is incredible. They explain things to you and make the adventure very entertaining. I would say it is one of the best experiences we have had in this country. It is incredible how they take care of every detail so that you can enjoy something that would surely not be the same if you did it on your own or with other guides. I totally recommend it, it won't disappoint anyone.

Review Body: The thing we loved most about the trek was our guide M! He was very sweet, funny and capable. We felt save in the jungle and he pointed out nice things about animals and trees/plants. The first part of the hike is on a more big path, after that you come to a point where you can only come with a guide and the paths are a bit more challenging. When you arrive at the waterfall you can refresh in the water and have lunch, very calm, (almost) no other people and just chill :) for nature lovers really recommended. Minimal fitness is required but my friend who hasn't a lot of hiking experience was able to enjoy too!

Review Body: Best Experience of my Life. If you’re not sure to do it alone. Just do it! And with a group of course as well. Jaja and his knowledge is really incredible. He nows the jungle and the animals better than someone else! For example he heard a monkey jumping, while i was just walking and had no idea why he’s stopping. So he was right. We don’t saw that many Animals i expected to see, but that’s nature and the experience itself is really great. So you will see enough but don’t expect to much (like elephants or Tiger 😂) Btw the Food was amazing 👀 Thank you Jaja and your Team for this nice experience 🙏🏼 ขอบคุณครับ

Itinerary Description: Lunch 11:00 – The team will pick you up from your stay in Khao Sok village and drive you to the Sok River. From there, you'll take bamboo raft and walk about 10 minutes to jaja's home, located in the jungle. 11:30 – Lunch preparation begins. The menu includes coconut soup with miang leaf and red curry with river fern. All vegetables are sourced from the jungle. The meal may vary slightly depending on seasonal ingredients. Vegetarian curry is available upon request — please let us know when booking. 13:00 – Enjoy a short jungle trek and some relaxing time swimming by the Sok River. 14:05 – Arrive back to your accommodation.
