Known as Kawa Karpo, Meili is one of the most sacred mountains in Tibetan Buddhism and has been revered for centuries as a spiritual protector of the region.This journey takes you from Shangri-La into the heart of the Tibetan highlands, following mountain roads through deep river gorges, remote villages, and high-altitude passes towards Meili Snow Mountain. Along the way, you'll gain a deeper understanding of the region's culture and spirituality through visits to monasteries, sacred sites, and communities whose lives remain closely connected to the mountains.One of the highlights of the trip is witnessing sunrise over Meili Snow Mountain. Starting out as English–Tibetan translators, they later found their true calling guiding visitors through the stunning landscapes of Yunnan, Sichuan, and Gansu.
