Review Body: Was a really good time, the workshop only had my friend and i and the staff was lovely showing us around the store filled with their cool works and sharing fun facts about the different species of butterflies and how they do their work. She was patient in guiding us when we were piecing together our rodent skeleton. Overall a fantastic experience and will be asking my company if we could come here for potential team bonding as they provide corporate rates as well.

Review Body: What a wonderful workshop! The staff clearly cares about the ethical sourcing of their materials. I felt like I was in an arts and craft science class and was given great directions and support with assembling the bird skeleton. They even had decorations to make it festive for the winter holidays! A truly unique experience that is not to be missed if you are a science nerd or appreciate creating one of a kind artwork.

Review Body: We did a butterfly taxidermy workshop for my girlfriend’s birthday. At first I was apprehensive about doing it but I am happy to say that I had a lot of fun. Em was very well educated on all the questions that we had and made the process very informative and lighthearted. We made two beautiful displays using locally sourced, ethically gathered butterflies and local plants and flowers. Overall the experience was very well worth it and I would highly recommend to anyone remotely interested in insects or taxidermy.

Meet your host

Meet Vivian and Jivan, the duo behind Singapore’s first taxidermy workshops. Their work isn’t just about creating beautiful displays—it’s about honouring animals and sparking conversations about conservation in an unconventional way. Vivian grew up in Ipoh, surrounded by animals, which led her to study zoology and work in conservation with WWF. There, she learned how preserving animals could be a way to study and appreciate them. Combining science with creativity, she now teaches others how to respectfully preserve specimens, from delicate butterflies to small mammals. All specimens are responsibly sourced—from butterfly farms, wildlife centres, and even public donations—ensuring that every piece created is an ethical tribute to nature’s beauty.
