What if preserving nature could help us love it more deeply?
Taxidermy might not be the first thing you think of when it comes to appreciating wildlife, but this one-of-a-kind workshop will change the way you see nature. Led by Vivian, a zoologist and former WWF conservationist, this hands-on experience blends science, art, and a deep love for animals into something truly special. In this workshop, you'll learn fascinating insights about butterflies, moths, and beetles—how they live, why they matter, and their role in the ecosystem. Then, you’ll create your own beautifully preserved butterfly frame or dome, turning delicate specimens into art. Every butterfly is ethically sourced—donated by butterfly farms, research centres, or even the public—so this is a meaningful way to give these creatures a second life.If you're looking for a truly unique and meaningful experience in Singapore, this is it—where science, art, and conservation come together in the most unexpected way. Whether you’re a nature lover, an art enthusiast, or just looking for a quirky and creative experience, this is one you won’t forget. What to Expect:Learn About Local Wildlife – Discover the hidden world of butterflies, their anatomy, and their role in the ecosystem.Create Your Own Taxidermy Art – Preserve and frame up to 3-4 ethically sourced butterflies in a personalized frame or dome.Hands-On & Small Group Setting – Get guidance from an expert and plenty of time to ask questions. All Materials Provided – Just bring your curiosity!Good to Know:Ages 10+ – Suitable for older kids and adults. No Experience Needed – Beginners are welcome!Specimens are already preserved, just bring your creativity & decorate!Customizable Options – The standard workshop includes a small butterfly dome (10x15cm), but you can upgrade to other decorative styles via add-ons.Booking is for 1 individual only. Meet your host

Meet Vivian and Jivan, the duo behind Singapore’s first taxidermy workshops. Their work isn’t just about creating beautiful displays—it’s about honouring animals and sparking conversations about conservation in an unconventional way. Vivian grew up in Ipoh, surrounded by animals, which led her to study zoology and work in conservation with WWF. There, she learned how preserving animals could be a way to study and appreciate them. Combining science with creativity, she now teaches others how to respectfully preserve specimens, from delicate butterflies to small mammals. All specimens are responsibly sourced—from butterfly farms, wildlife centres, and even public donations—ensuring that every piece created is an ethical tribute to nature’s beauty.
