Macam Mana Rasanya Luangkan 4 Hari di Ha Giang Loop

We spent 4 days on the epic Ha Giang Loop, riding through mind-blowing mountains and valleys, and staying at the most gorgeous campsite tucked away in a quiet valley.

Unlike most Ha Giang Loop tours with groups of 50–60, dorm-style homestays, and a heavy party vibe, this 4D3N Ha Giang Loop with Seek Sophie kept it small and intimate — just 10 people — and took us on a more off-the-beaten-path route.

What the 4D3N Itinerary Looks Like

• Day 1: Get picked up from Hanoi in the afternoon or evening, and settle into your first homestay.
• Day 2: Begin your motorbike ride along the famous Happy Road, stopping at scenic spots like Bac Sum Slope, Co Tien Twin Mountain, and the iconic Ma Pi Leng Pass. End the night at the campsite.
• Day 3: After breakfast, kayak down the Nho Que River through the stunning Tu San Canyon. You can either opt for a short hike or continue your ride back to Dong Van Town, where you’ll stay in a cosy eco-stone homestay.
• Day 4: Visit the Hmong King’s Palace, the iconic s-shape zigzagging road at Tham Ma Pass, stop at waterfalls, and finish the journey in Ha Giang City by evening.

We highly recommend going with an easy rider so you don’t have to worry about navigation, and can just sit back and enjoy the views.

Pro tip #1: put one earbud in and play Lana Del Rey. Watching the sunset to Young & Beautiful honestly felt like being in a movie.

The good thing is that you're really only on the bike for three to four hours a day, and there are plenty of breaks to take in the epic views, relax, enjoy local family-style meals, drink Vietnamese salt coffee (it's famous in this region!), and even dip into waterfalls.

Homestays & Campsite

Since this is a loop, you'll stay in different homestays each night. They were cosy, clean, and comfortable, much nicer than the dorm-style setups you usually hear about.

But the highlight is definitely the campsite. The campsite was amazing — clean, cozy tents, hot showers, and a BBQ feast under the stars. And there was only one other local Vietnamese group staying at the campsite! We woke up to a breathtaking view of the canyon as the sun lit up the valley. The best way to enjoy a slow morning.

Pro tip 2: If you love coffee, bring an AeroPress and some local beans from Hanoi! Brewing fresh coffee with instant noodles for breakfast is the perfect way to a morning this gorgeous.

Kayaking

And because we stayed at the lake, we were able to kayak down the river. Other tours do this stretch on a packed boat while blasting music, so it felt extra special to be the only ones kayaking, swimming, and having extra time to skip rocks. We spent about 2 hours in total kayaking and having fun.

Campfire Night

On our last night in Dong Van Town, we joined a huge campfire party prepped by locals, with dancers, live-streamers, and travellers all coming together. It was the best way to end the last night!
