Review Body: The best guide ever! I travelled with Gusti on four separate days and I cannot speak highly enough of him, both as a guide and as a person. I’m a photographer, so I had some specific areas that I wanted to visit and some that required special times of days in order to get the right light. I also wanted to be able to have the car stop when I wanted so that I could get photos outside of the tourist areas. Gusti accommodated all of that and gave value added in so many ways. He was able to advise on the best times of days for visits so that we could avoid the throngs and had good locations in mind for my photography that were not the usual places. From visits to villas that had been the temporary abode of celebrities like Mick Jagger and David Bowie, to restaurants that would open specifically for us so that we could enjoy early morning views from their terraces, Gusti had helpful and revelatory surprises along the way. He was also a goldmine of knowledge from ancient myths about places we visited, to the proper names for fruit or vegetables, and even a source of introduction to Hindu culture and ceremony. He also had a great knowledge of good places to shop for a variety of items. Everywhere, Gusti would be at your side if needed, or allow you to be on your own if you preferred. His vehicle is clean, modern and, most important for Bali, has great air conditioning! Nicest of all was Gusti as a person. Friendly, personable and fun, but also prepared to have serious conversations about a myriad of subjects from environment to politics the different dialects across the island or the rice farming traditions of Bali. Best were the conversations about family. Gusti is a family man and he works hard to support them, taking great care to provide a fantastic service in clean and pleasant surroundings. Thank you so much, Gusti! Bali would have been so much less without you!

Review Body: Word of mouth is a great way for Balinese drivers to get work, and that is why I created a Trip Advisor account and I'm writing this review now! I was recommended to Gusti originally on a female travel group, and traveler had recently spent time with him on their vacation. She mentioned he was reliable for a solo female traveler and would be an excellent driver. Before my trip, Gusti asked me what sites I wanted to check out in Bali, and helped create an itinerary for our 12 hour day trip. He ensured that I was able to check out silver making, batik, Mt. Batur, Kopi luwak coffee, the Holy Spring Water Temple, Ubud, and more! Spending half a day with a stranger seemed completely nerve-racking, but Gusti welcomed me with a big smile and enthusiasm. Gusti honestly was the total package in a driver. He has spent A TON of time visiting all types of shops and stores to find what he considers quality. I was very appreciative of his knowledge in local products and catering to his clients. At almost every stop on the trip, Gusti bumped into a friend, and they would have boisterous conversation. I loved that he was so out-going and engaged in conversation during our long day. And to top it all off, he's a musician! Listening to his band, Duo Star's music on our drives made the whole trip even more special. I was so thankful for Gusti's service, that I messaged him the next day to have him organize a drive to some water sports! He was prompt and worked his schedule around without hesitation. Gusti made my time in Bali easy, relaxing, and fun. I highly recommend Gusti for all Driving and Tour excursions, and even for the great company. I'll definitely be contacting Gusti whenever I'm Bali!

Review Body: Gusti is reliable, honest, entertaining, knowledgeable! We were so fortunate to find Gusti and his clean, large vehicle near our excellent hotel, the Alaya Resort Jembawan, in Ubud (please see separate review of this beautiful hotel). For a reasonable rate, Gusti took us to all the important sites near Ubud, which would have been a daunting task without a knowledgable driver. (We saw many a scooter with GPS, lost in the hills, searching for typically poorly-marked sites.) Not only is Gusti personable and fun, his English is excellent and quickly determined which types of sites our family would mostly likely want to see, as well as those to be avoided. We had complete confidence in Gusti, leaving our bags with him in the vehicle while we explored sites. Gusti arranged fast boat transfers for us, which worked out well, and he promised to pick us up at a Bali port, after a few days in the Gili Islands: He was there waiting for us with a big smile. Gusti went out of his way to find specific places, outside the ordinary tourist spots, waited for us, and even drove, completely out of his way, in Denpasar, to a specific location, all with a smile and at no extra cost. While money is of course a main issue, our impression was that Gusti enjoys being with tourists and helping them, even more than the money we paid. Our children were delighted by his CDs and VCDs which he played for us: Gusti is an accomplished singer and guitarist, and sang along to his own recorded compositions while we listened and watched on the car video screen. We will certainly look for Gusti on our next trip to Bali!

Review Body: We’d give 6 stars if that was an option. My husband and I went to Bali in November on our honeymoon and were so fortunate to have hired Gusti as our driver. I could write an entire essay on all the amazing things about him, his service, and the our trip but here are our highlights: He is very professional, in all regards. From payment to punctuality we knew we could count on him to be reliable take care of us. He is friendly, funny, and an incredibly charismatic and genuine person. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our conversation with him and even had the pleasure of getting to know him and his life outside of just being our driver. He had heartfelt things to say when the moment called for them, and a good joke or funny story when that was needed as well. His people skills are off the charts. And finally, he was flexible and knowledgeable and put these skIlls to use when discussing our itinerary. I have a chronic illness that comes and goes with no warning making me fatigued, and Gusti was incredible with finding substitute activities and recommendations the best-of-the-best sights and activities if we only had time/energy for a few. He took our scatter brained requests and provided insightful and experience-driven recommendations to make sure my husband and I got the absolute most out of our vacation while still feeling comfortable and relaxed. If we ever return to Bali, Gusti you will be the first person we notify! And you can trust that we will recommend all our friends and family. Review Body: BEST BALI TOUR GUIDE- LOOK NO FURTHER We reached out to Gusti a week prior to our honeymoon to Bali, and he responded SO fast! We were able to book him right away ( I would prefer booking in advance, as he is a very popular tour guide and you wouldn’t want to miss out!). We organized transport with him from the airport to our hotel in Ubud. Upon arrival to Bali, Gusti communicated with us right away to let us know he was waiting in baggage claim for us, and sure enough, he was there with our names on a sign! Upon meeting him, he was very friendly, funny, energetic, and GREAT English speaker! That same day before we got to our hotel, Gusti took us to a coffee plantation where we tried the famous Luwak coffee (made from luwak poop) and we also organized the rest of our days there! We let Gusti know what we wanted to see and he QUICKLY organized an amazing itinerary, also adding in spots that he recommended and were popular tourist areas that he thought we might love to see! Long story short, we LOVED all of the spots and recommendations that Gusti gave. He is very affordable, knowledgeable, and friendly, and made us feel EXTREMELY SAFE driving in the BUSY streets of Bali and touring Bali! I HIGHLY recommend a tour guide (Gusti for sure) as it is very difficult to get around Bali without someone who is knowledgeable about the island and the culture/language. Not to mention, Gusti is a great singer and sang to us every time we were in the car! My husband and I will choose Gusti every time we come back!!!!!!

We just wanted to send this message to thank you for making our tours wonderful and having so much patience while I shopped, shopped and shopped until we all dropped!!! Any one reading this can take comfort in knowing the car was extremely clean and comfortable. Gusti was extremely prompt and professional, he has a wonderful easy going personality and is excellent at English. Gusti is a musician so we had the pleasure to listen to his tunes while touring we even bought one of his CD for the memories. Review Body: The most trustworthy, friendly, patient driver! We saw this Trip Advisor page and decided to book Gusti for our entire Bali trip. Gusti organized our airport transfers and hotel transfers without any problem. Review Body: Amazing time with the super awesome Gusti! We had an absolutely great time in Bali thanks to Gusti. We found Gusti through online research and all the good reviews, not only was every review spot on he exceeded expectations! Gusti is a very friendly guide with great driving and a spacious air conditioned car. Whats awesome about him is he really wants you to have a great experience - he's very flexible and happy to adapt programs to your preference and mood, hes well connected and gets you into sites easily and quickly, and helps you cover soooo many things in 1 day. We had him for 3 days where we covered Ubud, snorkeling day trip to Nusa Penida, and Uluwatu. Even on the Nusa Penida island he organised a car and all the boat rides with no additional cost. In a nutshell he is truly awesome and we would recommend him to anyone looking for a cool talented guide who loves his island and can't wait to share it with visitors. P.s. Review Body: Fun and knowledgeable driver/guide, speaks English fluently I had a blast in Bali with Gusti. This was my first time hiring a driver and it was absolutely worth it. Gusti is a lot of fun to be around. He gives you space when you are off exploring, but also is there when you want company. I took a week trip to Bali by myself and spent 3 days with Gusti, but I wish it had been more. His knowledge of the island took away the hassle of me having to research and plan my days. He knows all the good places to see or will take you to any specific places you are interested in. A normal day for Gusti and I would be driving around Bali, stopping at the places I requested and he recommended, and jamming out to music. I almost forgot to mention, he is an up and coming celebrity in Bali. His music is awesome and he gave me a free CD. Looking forward to the next CD he is working on. All in all, I don't think I will travel anywhere ever again without getting a driver/tour guide. He was that good.

Review Body: GUSTI BADRA - driver and tour organiser After having a terrible experience with Uber (unfortunately we trusted an Uber driver who ripped us of completely on the final fare) .. We were lucky enough to find Gusti! He saved the day and became our driver the the remainder of our trip. He is brilliant, good natured, has great knowledge of Balinese customs, culture and sites to see, and he also has a great command of English (so he's able to answer questions and give you insights into Balinese culture and the various places you visit). We found him to be patient and professional with a great sense of humour AND he's really talented as a musician! Ask him to play his Duo Star CD which is releasing in July 2017! We were really impressed and enjoyed bopping along to his tunes, which are a mix of Balinese / western pop fusion. Pretty awesome! I would highly recommend Gusti to anyone visiting Bali!
