Review Body: We first started our trip with a tour of the Ngũ Hành Sơn (Marble) Mountains, which was spectacular. We then enjoyed a great lunch at the peak of Sơn Trà (Monkey) Mountain, and then we went searching for Red-shanked Douc Langurs. Thanks to Luc's extensive expertise, and with the help of biologist colleagues Tung and Quan, we spotted several Langur families and were able to take some wonderful pictures. We were also able to see a group of four langurs assembled en famille with Luc's beautiful spotting scope. We rounded out the day with an easy tour of the Goddess of Mercy statue and Linh Ung Pagoda. Our full day tour was unhurried, informative, and Luc and his team were superb. We could not recommend this tour more highly.

Review Body: This was an amazing experience. Our guide spoke excellent English and taught us so much about Vietnam. Both sites of the tour were beautiful, peaceful and nature-centered. Be prepared for a bit of a trek if you truly want to to see the langurs! Our guide knows the langurs so well that he knew where and when they were most likely to be spotted. The driver was also fantastic, so helpful with spotting the langurs.

Review Body: One of my favorite things we did in Vietnam. Luc was so so excellent in every way - incredibly knowledgeable, kind, very helpful. Even with not so great weather, we were incredibly lucky (with Luc's aid of course) in spotting two large langur families. Everything was perfect from the stops, lunch - I wouldn't hesitate in booking this day tour for a really unique and memorable experience.

Review Body: We had a fantastic morning looking for the red shanked Langurs with Tung and Hoang. Both were very passionate and knowledgeable about wildlife and willing to share their knowledge and answer our questions. We were very lucky to see two different troops of the red shanked langurs. We were able to take some great photographs with our camera, use their binoculars and their spotting scope to see the Langurs up close. Tung and Hoang were very respectful of the wildlife and langurs. We were picked up from Hoi An and the car was very comfortable. They gave us Banh Mi and a coffee before we went up the mountain. I highly recommend this tour if you enjoy nature, wildlife photography and an ethical tour. Thank you Tung and Hoang.

Review Body: We had a fantastic time with our wildlife guide. We started the morning birdwatching on the paddy fields in Hoi An, then drove to Son Tra. We stopped a couple of times on the way up the mountain for a bit more birdwatching and to admire the amazing views over Danang. After a couple of hours walking we were lucky enough to see a family group of langurs, including a baby, close up. Then as we were heading back to the car the guide found another group of bachelor males who proceeded to leap across the path almost directly overhead. Such a great experience!

Review Body: We had a fabulous time, Shaun was an excellent guide. We saw a lot of langurs during the tour and it was amazing to see them in their natural habitat. Shaun and the driver were very friendly and Shaun was very informative about the langurs and also the Vietnamese culture which we really enjoyed. There were also a few amazing viewpoints to where we stopped on the way there and back. At the end we saw four langurs who were sleepy in the top of a tree and we could observe them for quite some time which was fabulous.

Review Body: Punctual, professional, experts, charming, and they deliver! The guides know the park really well and are knowledgeable of the langur monkey behavior. We found them in 5 different occasions! Apparently the company works with primate researchers, and they take good care in respecting the species, using electric vehicles, driving slowly, keeping distance. Good binoculars were handed to each of us and there was also a spotting scope. Some of the best 4 hours in any trip. Definitely recommended. Worth every penny.

Review Body: As an individual who works in the outdoor industry where we frequent wildlife, this was exactly what my wife and I were looking for. Our guide was not only passionate about the Red Shanked Douc’s but also very knowledgeable. Being able to view these primates in their natural habitat and learn about them was a highlight of our trip. We left this trip thinking to ourselves, we would go again tomorrow. Book this trip if you want a more personal experience with a professional in some of the most beautiful scenery.

Wildlife walk to spot rare langurs & explore Da Nang's hidden nature spots
This wildlife experience is perfect for nature lovers who want to see a rare side of Da Nang that most travellers never get to see. While the city is best known for its white sandy beaches and resorts, you’ll head into the nature reserves of Monkey Mountain and Marble Mountain in search of the elusive red-shanked douc langur - one of the world’s most beautiful and endangered primates. With only around 2,000 individuals left in the wild, this is their last refuge. With your expert naturalist guide and wildlife photographer Luc, you have a good chance of spotting them. He's one of the top red-shanked douc langur experts, and has worked closely with NGOs in Da Nang to protect the species and their habitat. He knows their favourite hiding spots, recognises different families, and understands their behaviours intimately. You’ll also get up close to rare birds (Luc is an avid birder too!), reptiles and other wildlife. This full day experience also brings you to explore a former US military base hidden deep within the nature reserve, before heading to Marble Mountain in the afternoon, with its quiet beauty, ancient caves and panoramic views of Da Nang’s coastline. If you usually skip big group tours and prefer experiencing nature in a quieter, more meaningful way, this is exactly the kind of trip you’ll love. What to ExpectObserve critically endangered Red-shanked Douc Langurs in their natural habitat – one of the world’s most endangered and beautiful primatesLearn about conservation efforts to protect the Red-shanked Douc LangursBirdwatching with a naturalist - look out for species like the White-crested Laughingthrush, Crested Serpent Eagle and moreVisit a former US military base hidden deep within Son Tra Nature ReserveExplore the dramatic caves and peaceful pagodas of Marble MountainPrivate guide, comfy air-conditioned car, and a delicious lunch (vegetarian-friendly!) all includedGood to KnowThis is a private trip, so it's just you, your group, and the guide - perfect if you want a peaceful experienceEarly start ensures better chances of spotting wildlife (especially the langurs)Entrance tickets, water, coffee, lunch, and spotting scope are all includedBring binoculars or camera if you have them - your guide loves helping capture great shotsLight walking is involved but nothing too strenuous - suitable for most fitness levelsYou’ll be doing moderate walking on paved and forested paths. The terrain is not too challenging, but we recommend comfortable shoes and sun protection. The early part of the day will involve quiet trekking through the reserve to spot wildlife, with plenty of breaks. Marble Mountain exploration may involve climbing some stairs.
