Hoa Tien Brocade
Hoa Tien Brocade is an embroidery and natural-dyed studio founded by Sam Thi Tinh. Tinh is a Thai woman that moved to Hanoi from Hoa Tien Village, Nghe An - one of the oldest (over 100 years old) and most famous brocade-weaving cradles of Thai people.
In 2010, Tinh's mother - Mrs. Sam Thi Bich - started a cooperative business to help increase the income of Thai women in Nghe An and preserve their culture and traditions. Following in her mother's footsteps, Tinh opened her studio in Hanoi as a showroom to share the beauty of Thai handicrafts with the world.
Every Hoa Tien item is made entirely by hand from planting raw materials, dyeing fabrics, weaving, and embroidering into fashion accessories or home decor. It is Tinh's passion to help her own community and tell more people about her culture through what she grew up with - weaving, fabric-dyeing, and embroidery.
