The best tour I have ever done.
In short the experience is a wholesome and grounding experience due to the beauty of the location and the passion of the people.
Seeing the fire flies in their natural habitat is the added sprinkling of magic on top.
The cooking class was lots of fun. You pick the vegetables from their land and learn how to cook the dinner. I give the food a 10/10! So fresh and flavoursome!
I am in absolute awe of this conservation and the people that run it. Being in the presence of such kind and passionate people is so inspiring.
Tips:
-I wore long pants and covered shoes and felt protected from the bugs. They also supply naturally made insect spray, that smells amazing!
-I travelled from Seminyak which was a long drive. It would be better to be closer to Ubud. They do book you a lovely transfer if you need it. At an extra cost.
I highly recommend booking this magical experience.
I cannot wait to bring my kids next time I visit Bali!

An absolutely incredible experience—Wayan and his team have curated a fascinating and highly educational tour of their firefly conservatory.
We learned about the role of fireflies as indicators of healthy ecosystems and their decline in numbers due to habitat degradation from man-made influences—litter, pesticides and light pollution to name a few.
The life-cycle of fireflies was explained in great detail in their specialised lab, with examples shown in their ongoing development of captive breeding methods.
While waiting for sundown we were treated to a delicious dinner of local Balinese dishes by the team—some of the best food I've had on the island.
In the evening we went out to the local rice fields to see the fireflies in action—my first time seeing them in over 20 years. It was a truly magical experience, and for me in particular it evoked a wonderful sense of nostalgia.
I would recommend this trip if you enjoy the enchanting spectacle of watching fireflies, have an interested in insect biology/conservation and have an appetite for delicious local cuisine (who doesn't?)

Such an amazing experience, very informative and throughly enjoyed experiencing how the volunteers care for the turtles and the background of how it started.

We had such a wonderful experience at the Turtle Conservation Centre. They were so accommodating, even when we accidentally turned up on the wrong day, and welcomed us in with a smile. It was fascinating to learn all about the different species of turtles, their life cycles, and the important conservation work being done here. The highlight of the visit was getting the chance to release a baby turtle into the sea – such a special and memorable moment. A truly meaningful experience, and I’d highly recommend a visit to anyone who cares about wildlife and wants to support a great cause.

Amazing experience! Getting to see the firefly lab and learn all about the firefly and the walk through the nearby farm was really interesting. And then absolutely exceptional was the meal (best one we've had so far in Bali) and getting to see the fireflies in the field at night. Little pockets of light flying about (we even chanced on seeing a mating pair up close) - it was one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. Definitely recommend this tour for an exceptional experience and to support local conservation at its most effective.

Such a wonderful experience!! A beautiful jungle setting and lovely ethos. Wayan and his family were so kind, knowledgable and passionate about their mission to care for the fireflies. Dinner was really fun to make and absolutely delicious. The experience was very well structured, well organised, informative, fun and a pleasure to be a part of. I would absolutely recommend.

I’ve never seen a firefly before and it truly was a magical experience. It’s not something that can be captured on camera. My friend and I travelled from Canggu just for this experience and it was 100% worth it. Wayan and his family were kind and generous with their knowledge and hospitality. Dinner was extremely delicious I wish I had space to eat more! Wishing all the best to Wayan and his team, looking forward to returning and one day seeing clouds of fireflies!
