Review Body: Without a doubt, staying here was the highlight and best part of our trip. May, Cao, and Hua were amazingly gracious hosts! We looked forward to every single home-cooked meal, and the activities were so fun and special. Once in a lifetime experience - breathtaking views and hosts that made us feel right at home. We are already planning our next trip back!

Review Body: An addictive classic countryside living paired with a super reliable host family. We loved it so much, that we are planning to make a comeback with our family and friends in the near future. Pro Tip: Check the weather and if you are here during its coldest season, be equipped with warm layers, thermal wear and thermos (to store your drinking water).

Review Body: Mẩy’s listing is in a serene and peaceful village near Sa Pa town. The warm hospitality of Mẩy and his family made our entire experience extremely wonderful. This is a great place to explore Sa Pa's rice fields and mountains and get familiar with the locals. The host was extremely responsive and helped us in all possible ways.

Review Body: Heart warming experience 😍😍. We stayed at May's place for 2 days and we had one of our best experiences in Vietnam. The place is a remote village 14km away from Sapa but is the perfect place to stay if you're looking for some peace away from the cities. The place is run by May and her family (Cao and his wife) and it really feels like they welcome you to their home. The hospitality and food is top-notch :) They also hosts a motor bike tour and treks for really affordable rates and the views through the valleys, local villages and rice fields were really stunning. 10/10 recommend this place if you're looking for a quiet time in Sapa.

Review Body: Family of five - two adults, 3 kids aged 15, 14 and 11. We had the most amazing, authentic live-in experience with May and her family. From the sit-down, home-made meals (so much food!), to the waterfall hike with incredible views, to the well-earnt herbal baths on our final night, it was three days of very cherished memories for our family. The motorbike tour was a long day, but a lot of fun with some more br3eath-taking scenery. And May and her family were all incredible hosts, showing-off the warm and friendly Vietnam hospitality that we now know and love. If you're after a genuine homestay experience, you cannot go past this one.

Review Body: I had an absolutely incredible stay at May’s homestay outside Sapa. May and her family were beyond wonderful—so warm, welcoming, and always ready to assist with anything you need. Their kindness and constant smiles made the experience truly special. The excursions they offer are worth every penny. Whether it’s hiking, trekking, motorbike tours, or sharing a delicious dinner with the family, every moment was unforgettable. I couldn’t have asked for a better way to experience the beauty of this region. Highly, highly recommend! More people need to experience this friendly little homestay—it’s a true gem.

Review Body: We had a wonderful stay with May and her family. They were very welcoming and generous with their time, knowledge, and home cooked meals. The trecking and motor bike ride was an amazing experience, as the areas we were taken were very remote and beautiful. The accommodation was very comfortable. Lots of friendly animals too! This was such an amazing thing to do in Vietam!

Looking for a truly secluded stay that feels like stepping into a “Hill Lord” retreat? This homestay is tucked away from the main road, surrounded by lush gardens where you’re invited to wander through vegetable patches and pick fruit straight from the trees. It’s the perfect hideaway for anyone wanting to escape the crowds and sink into peace, nature, and slow mountain living.Plus, you'll stay with a warm and welcoming Red Dao family who are happiest when they see you feeling comfortable and at home. Their herbal bath is something special — a tribe recipe that makes you feel twice as youthful, five times stronger, and ten times smarter (okay, we might be a bit biased, but honestly, it’s that good!). If you’ve tried spa baths in Ta Van, you’ll definitely notice the difference. Ready for a proper herbal soak that leaves you feeling revitalised? We thought so! And it’s not just the stay that draws you in. Day 1 takes you on a scenic motorbike ride through valleys and rice terraces, while day 2 brings a trek through bamboo forest to hidden waterfalls. Altogether, it’s a beautifully balanced escape — part restful retreat, part gentle adventure — that awakens your senses and leaves you feeling refreshed, grounded, and inspired. What to ExpectSettle into a cozy wooden bungalow at May's charming homestay, a haven filled with warmth and traditional charm.Embark on a scenic motorbike journey through breathtaking valleys, stopping as you please to capture photos of the unforgettable landscapes.Venture into remote villages, forging genuine connections with locals and experiencing their way of life.Trek through lush bamboo forests and discover hidden waterfalls, taking a refreshing dip if you're feeling adventurous.Indulge in delicious home-cooked meals, savoring the authentic flavors of Red Dao cuisine.Unwind with a traditional herbal bath, soothing your muscles after a day of exploration.Learn about Red Dao traditions and customs through engaging conversations with May and her family.Good to KnowThe homestay is located in Giang Ta Chai Village, around 14km (~40 minutes) from Sapa town.Pickup and dropoff services to the homestay are not included but can be arranged for an additional fee.FacilitiesCosy bungalows with all-wood design, handcrafted furniture, and colorful decor for a warm, homey feelFans included in all bungalows. Hallo!
