Ever wanted to fall asleep to jungle sounds, cook with bamboo over a fire, and learn real survival skills? On this overnight trek in Khao Sok, your guides—trained by the legendary Jaja—will show you how. With their uncanny sixth sense, they can spot gibbons in the canopy, recognise animal calls, track hidden creatures, and cook a feast straight from the forest.You’ll trek 3km through rainforest to Bang Hua Rat Waterfall, picking up survival skills like identifying edible plants, using jungle herbs, and tracking wildlife along the way. After lunch at the falls, you’ll set up camp (deep in the jungle or by a stream, depending on the weather), learn to rig your hammock, and enjoy a traditional bamboo cooking (and feasting!) over the fire. As night falls, head out on a safari to spot nocturnal creatures before sleeping under the stars. In the morning, wake to gibbons and birdsong, with fresh coffee and breakfast waiting. Jaja was born and raised in Khao Sok, where the jungle was his childhood playground. Taught by his father from a young age, he learned how to navigate, survive, and understand the land. As he got older, he took an interest in learning English, working as a waiter to practice with travelers. Eventually, he realized his knowledge of the jungle could be put to better use—guiding visitors through the national park instead of hunting. Now, with nearly two decades of experience, Jaja not only leads unforgettable jungle adventures but also mentors new guides, helping former hunters find a new path. Dedicated to his hometown, he’s working to create more opportunities in eco-tourism while protecting the beauty of Khao Sok.
