Review Body: Really loved it! I took my family (8 of us ranging from ages 6-80!) and everyone really enjoyed the experience. We loved how heartfelt the entire experience was. Can really feel the heart that has gone into the garden. Can also feel Wilson's passion - he was very happy to just chat to us even though we had exceeded the time. Wilson's a great guide. He's super passionate, really knows his stuff. Very caring and hospitable And it's a very worthwhile cause. It's a community garden that has brought lots of wildlife back to SG (more butterflies species in the garden than the entire UK!). Knowing that it's a pure community garden ie only supported by two people and an army of volunteers essentially, and that our money goes towards maintaining it is great The stories and the heart behind the garden are incredible. Really makes you think of what is possible when one or two individuals decide to take action to rewild the land. Within 5 years it went from a very boring patch of grass to a gorgeous wild landscape bursting with flowers. It's such a joy to behold. Highly recommended to anyone who loves nature and wants to see what kind of biodiversity is possible in our very urban city.

Review Body: A wonderful guided tour to observe & learn about the biodiversity in the garden & how it was cultivated. Highly unlike what we normally get to experience in this concrete jungle (and even in other parks or community gardens). Wilson the guide was highly engaging with the information shared, via clear passion & eloquence. Apart from beautiful & less common flora & fauna, we caught sight of many butterflies & interesting species of birds & insects. Highly recommend!

Review Body: Krissten clearly communicated information about the event beforehand and was very happy to help on the day. Wilson and Ganesh were very knowledgeable, passionate and happily shared their experiences of their garden. The event was very well organised and included a lovely morning tea. A really interesting tour in a part of Sinagpore that I wouldn't have seen if not for this tour! Thank you everyone :)

Review Body: A truly unique nature experience in Singapore! 🌿 Wilson was a knowledgeable and engaging tour guide, and I loved discovering the garden, seeing butterflies, and appreciating how much nature can thrive in such a short period since COVID. It was wonderful to see nature’s possibilities right here in Singapore. I highly recommend this tour — I would give it 6 stars if I could! 🦋🌱

Review Body: Review from a 11 year old guest: I love the butterflies and the many flowers! I learnt about why lizards do pushups and the difference between butterfly-pollinated flowers and bee-pollinated flowers. For future guests:When you see ants, try to step out of their trail. If they bite you, take a selfie and RUN. Wear long pants and closed toe shoes.

Review Body: Enjoyed learning about how the gardens are deliberately designed to attract wildlife, especially how certain plants like the pagoda plants play host to the birdwing butterfly and the mistletoe for the painted jezelbel butterfly.

See Singapore's most biodiverse space, where indigenous wildlife has returned
Behind an HDB in Woodlands, something extraordinary is happening, led by ordinary people. It began with a simple idea: what if we replanted Singapore with its indigenous plants, and let nature decide what came back? So the community started planting - no decorative gardens or manicured rows, but a garden designed for insects, birds, and predators.Nature responded fast.Today, eagles circle overhead (a good sign when predators come back!). Rare damselflies survive here after disappearing elsewhere. And this single community garden is now home to more butterfly species than the ENTIRE UK.This private guided experience takes you inside one of Singapore’s most successful rewilding experiments - a nine-storey, community-built garden designed entirely for biodiversity. It’s living proof that nature can recover quickly when we stop designing only for ourselves, and when people act instead of waiting for institutions. You’ll explore the garden with Wilson, who knows every corner and creature like an old companion. As he leads you through the trails, he’ll point out hidden gems like the Fiery Coraltail damselfly - a rare but incredible species as they are extremely effective mosquito controllers! After suffering habitat losses because of urban development, this is now one of the only spaces you can still find them and admire them up-close.This experience matters because it answers a big question many of us quietly hold: Is what we’ve lost gone for good? This garden says no.And it shows what’s possible when people stop waiting, and start rewilding the spaces we already have.A question to take with you: What could our cities become if we designed them not just for people, but for all the life that shares them with us?Why This Experience MattersCities often treat greenery as something decorative—beautiful to look at, but not necessarily designed to support life. This garden asks a different question: what if the success of a green space was measured by how much wildlife returned? What happened here shows that regeneration doesn’t always need to begin with a huge master plan. Sometimes it starts with a few determined people, a neglected patch of land and a willingness to stop waiting for someone else to act. This garden is living proof that what we’ve lost may not be gone for good—and that nature can recover surprisingly quickly when we give it the chance.Impact Week 2026 Learning JourneyThis experience has been specially curated for Impact Week 2026 and will take place only on 12 September. These Learning Journeys take you beyond the surface to better understand people, places and issues in Singapore, and hopefully inspire us to protect what matters. What to ExpectGuided exploration of a volunteer-run 9-storey botanical garden built to support wildlife, not peopleSpot butterflies, bees, birds, and even rare damselflies – possibly your first time seeing them in the wildUse the iNaturalist app to identify and log your wildlife discoveries, contributing real data to a global biodiversity databaseHear inspiring stories behind the garden’s transformation from barren hill to biodiversity havenLearn simple, impactful ways to support biodiversity at home through generous gardeningPot and bring home your very own plant, grown from garden trimmings like Portulaca and AlternantheraEnjoy light refreshments during the experienceNo fitness level required – just be comfortable with a gentle uphill walk
