Review Body: We booked the Bromo and Ijen tour, our diver Gerry picked us up at the trainstation and we immiadiatly clicked. It was later in the day and he gave us all the time to have some food first before we left and drove us very safely to our first hotel. The hotel was amazing, you couldnt ask for more. More luxurius then we would picked our selves but nothing to fancy, many dinner options and the food was great. In the early morning we got picked up by our jeep, a nice old Land Cruiser in very good condition. The drive up the mountain was incredible on its own. On the mountain self, we came to the conclusion that we definetly were lucky to be with Gerry. He was loved by all other locals and his smile never went away. Also he guided us to the best spot for pictures and he comforted us all the way up. Also he is a very good photographer. After sunset we visited Bromo itself and we could do this on our own by walking, pefectly fine. Next we went to Ijen, a 4 hour drive to the hotel. Wich again was driven very safe by Gerry. This hotel was even more luxurius then the last, after an early night in a very good bed we left very early (23:30) to mount Ijen. Here we met our local guide Lili. We highly appreciated we were guided by him, a local mine worker with lots of experience and the kindest heart and voice. He also was loved by all the local people and we felt very safe walking down the crator with him. In the end we really felt that we booked at the best place, we felt very lucky to be accompanied by Gerry for these 3 days and eventough the small language barrier was there, it was never a problem. His ability to speak English was more then fine for us. Gerry, thank you so much for the experience you gave us, your smile and all the laughs we had!

Review Body: I booked the 3D2N private tour of Mt Bromo and Ijen through SeekSophie, and it was a truly memorable and smooth experience. When I landed in Surabaya, I was warmly greeted by the driver (I regret not getting the correct spelling of his name), who was incredibly thoughtful and attentive throughout the trip. He regularly suggested itinerary adjustments based on traffic and weather, ensuring I still got the best views and experiences at both Mt Bromo and Ijen. He also arranged an excellent jeep driver who looked after me during the Bromo trip, and a kind local guide at Ijen who made sure I felt safe, informed, and well taken care of. What stood out to me as a solo traveler was the driver’s friendliness—he chatted about his life, his family, and the culture, geography, and history of Indonesia, which added a personal and meaningful touch to the journey. I especially appreciated how he made an extra effort to stop for local food and even took me to a rest stop after Ijen so I could freshen up before my flight (a blessing after the sulphur hike!). I’m also grateful for how responsible and responsive the local team was in Surabaya, including Memet from the tour group. They made sure I was taken care of and even asked for photo and video updates to check on their guests’ wellbeing. Thank you, SeekSophie and team, for the thoughtful arrangements. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a stress-free, meaningful adventure in East Java!

Review Body: Great tour! The guide that was with us for all the days was friendly, on time, and a good driver and photographer. We never had to worry about getting tickets or checking in and out. The local guides were all friendly as well (and they are very keen to photograph you!), but unfortunately not really that knowledgeable about the place visited. Expect to be in the car for quite a few hours each day as the different places are quite far apart (plenty to see from the window). Also the itinerary as listed here has a different order. Ours was Surabaya-Malang-Taman Sewu-Bromo-Ijen-ferry to Bali, which seems more logical but also means you need to get up very early (at 5:30, 3:45 and 00:00 (!)) on consecutive days. This might not be an issue if you are jet lagged anyway :-) also there is plenty of time to rest in between. The hotel at Taman Sewu was okay, our bathroom had some drainage issues (great food though and it’s right across the entrance). The facility at Bromo (Cafe Lava) is quite nice and the one right before Ijen is an actual resort with a pool (although you only stay there for a few hours really, enough to take a swim). Overall would definitely recommend!

Review Body: Great experience to see Ijen, Bromo and Tumpak Sewa waterfall with all accommodation, tours and transfers included. Our driver Wahyu was brilliant - always very friendly and very safe, even when driving in the middle of the night. The accommodation at Ijen was the best, the other 2 places were quite basic but did the job, especially when you will have very early starts (leaving 7am for the waterfall, 2am for Bromo, and even 11pm for Ijen though we postponed to midnight). In my opinion Mount Bromo was the best. Absolutely incredible views. The views of Ijen were incredible but I definitely wouldn't recommend hiking down to the blue fire. Absolutely packed full of tourists and quite dangerous at the bottom as crowds of tourists are shoving each other to get close to the blue fire. We left the hotel at midnight in order to see the blue fire at night. I would much rather have left later, arrived in time for sunrise and then hiked down to the crater when it's light already. That way you can still enjoy the views but will enjoy the hike more since the crowds will have already left.

Review Body: We had an incredible 4D3N East Java tour and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Indonesia. Over the three days we visited Tumpak Sewu Waterfall, watched the sunrise over Mt Bromo, and experienced the unforgettable Ijen Blue Fire and sunrise. Every stop was breathtaking, and the accommodation throughout the trip was comfortable and well chosen. A special mention goes to our guide, Arif, who was fantastic from start to finish. He always made us feel safe, cared for, and well looked after. The little touches made a huge difference, especially having a bottle of water waiting for us in the car after each hike. One of the highlights was being taken to his “secret spot” for the Bromo sunrise, which gave us amazing views away from the crowds. The whole trip was well organised, stress-free, and packed with incredible experiences. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide or a better way to explore East Java. Highly recommended!

Review Body: Truly enjoyed the tour! Strongly recommend if you’re looking for a hassle free trip. It was well planned and organised so we don’t have to worry a thing. The itinerary was also shifted promptly due to closure of Ijen on the day we were supposed to go. Accommodations were good enough for the budget we are paying for. Glad that our driver also brought us to more local food places that were authentic as opposed to touristy restaurants :) The rainbow village was a hidden gem and wholesome end to the trip. Our driver, Nawee, was very patient and helpful with all our needs :) Though we had to converse in Malay/Bahasa Indonesia, it was wonderful to hear his stories about the places and way of life in Surabaya. We were on the road most of the time, so props to Nawee for driving us around expertly and safely too. The local guides at Ijen and Sewu were super friendly and knew all the good photo spots👍

Review Body: We had an absolute great time. Our guide Arif knew the best times to travel and has organised us 4 days that were perfect. We started with a stunning sunrise overlooking Mount Bromo and having an adventurous Jeep Ride with a nice walk on top of the Bromo. We then stopped by the Tumpak Sewu Waterfall early in the morning with not many other people around. We got so many great pictures thanks to the local guide. After that we started driving to Ijen with another early start on the next day. Also the guide was really nice and we got a fantastic video from the whole trip. Thanks again, we had the best start in Indonesia and Java with this tour.

Review Body: The tour was very good. Car with aircon, comfortable seats (even to lean back like a bed) and a nice driver. The accomodation was good expect by the waterfall. There the room had no window and was dark. The trips to the spots were with local guides. It depends of this guide how the experience at the spots is. We had one superkind and nice guide, in another place the guide seemed not to motivated. The driver and some local guides spoke wuit good english. We liked mount bromo and tumpak sewu a lot. The mount ijen was impressiv but too crowded for our opinion. All in all it was a recommondable trip and is worth its mony.

Review Body: Seek Sophie delivered on every level. My guide, Arif, was fantastic. He was personable, knowledgeable, and made sure I was safe and comfortable the entire trip. That means a lot to a solo traveler like me. Unfortunately, my itinerary had to be modified because of an issue at Ijen which closed the area, but the disruption was handled seamlessly by Seek Sophie and an alternative activity was scheduled by the company. My tours of Mount Bromo and Tumpak Sewa were amazing. I would highly recommend Seek Sophie if you are looking for a tour company to provide services while in Indonesia.

Review Body: I travelled solo and so Arif became my friend for the next 3 days (doesn't limit to only 3 days of course). He was amazing, driving me around in his car was very comfortable. He even brought me up to a hidden view point to overlook Mt. Bromo, there was no one there and my pictures and videos were clear. He also even helped me withdraw cash as my card did not work at the ATM there. He is such a warm & lovely person. And his English was fluent so you won't have any trouble with communication. I'd highly recommend this tour and Arif if you plan to go to East Java!

Review Body: Driver was experienced and friendly. Mount bromo and tumpak sewu was truly stunning, will recommend. The blue fires at Ijen was gorgeous and mesmerising also but the cons are great as well. Getting there is inaccessible and the place is incredibly crowded, disrupting the otherwise scenic volcano. The terrain there is also treacherous, with steep slopes and a rocky terrain within the crater. If u do decide to go, I strongly recommend wearing proper boots to protect ur ankles and u need to be in good physical health to complete the climb

Review Body: It was really a pleasant experience. The itinerary was well planned out. All three places that we went - Tumpak Sewu, Kawah Ijen and Mt Bromo were beautiful places to visit. Highly recommend to book this tour if you are someone who loves natural beauty, cultural richness, and adventure! Review Body: The whole trip was so fuss-free thanks to my knowledgeable guide Rafi who never hesitated to give recommendations on local food and hot spots, he even took amazing pictures for me knowing that I was on my own and was always there whenever I needed something. Review Body: Was a great tour! Tour guide was awesome and easy to talk to and would stop anytime we needed. Be prepared for lots of driving around but it's definitely worth it! All the sights are GORGEOUS. My only advice would be to skip the blue fire. It is a bit of a gimmick. Pretty sure they set it on fire themselves (not 100% natural). Save yourself the pain of waking up at 11pm (yes you read that right) and just go enjoy Ijen at a reasonable hour.
