A recommended trip for those who wish to experience the art in a very safe and fun manner. They even got our products ready and ship them to us. Review Body: We had an absolutely wonderful experience! From start to finish, everything was perfectly organized. Our driver picked us up right on time and the ride was very pleasant. Upon arrival at the plantation, we received a warm and heartfelt welcome from the owner and her team, which immediately made us feel at home. After enjoying a welcome drink, we had the unique opportunity to plant our very own coffee tree, which will begin to bear fruit in about three years. We then picked ripe red coffee cherries and learned so much about the coffee plant and its fruits. Later, we roasted the dried beans over the fire and ground them ourselves – such a fun and authentic process! After that we were brewing and enjoying our very own coffee, accompanied by some delicious local snacks. Throughout the visit, the entire team was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable, taking the time to answer all our questions and share their passion for coffee. We truly enjoyed every single minute of this unforgettable experience and left with a deep appreciation for the effort and love that goes into coffee production. This was a one-of-a-kind experience, and we can wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone visiting Yogyakarta!

Review Body: We loved our experience from start to finish, it was super convenient being picked up and dropped off by our accommodation. When we arrived there was welcome drinks and a friendly welcome. They explained there would be a translator helping us there to explain what we are doing and to also answer our questions. We got first hands experience at picking and identifying ripe coffee cherries, we were shown both Arabica and Robusta plants (they farmed robusta here). Including using a handmade basket and talked through the picking process. We got to see some of the sorting process and the traditional roasting and grinding process, again getting hands on experience with both. It was very educational and fun to be a part of it. We even got to brew and taste our coffee at the end with some traditional Indonesian snacks. We also hiked a steep hill (very short but steep) to plant a coffee plant each, where we got our picture taken and named the two trees. Review Body: We were in Jogja for 5D4N and it was AMAZINGG. Jogja itself was amazing, amazing food, amazing people - and we loved our itinerary which Seek Sophie and Pak Sulis (boss) worked hard to help us plan as well! Pak Krisna was our driver, and was absolutely lovely! We made 0 plans for our meals, and he'd take us to eat based exactly on what we described we were craving each time; a couple times we told him we wanted to make a quick detour for XX reasons, and he tried his best to make arrangements for us despite it not being in the original itinerary (not just drive us there, but help us to do research + make plans while we're out on adventures!) He's on the quieter side compared to some drivers we've had, but we appreciate that so much as most of us are pretty introverted and need time to recharge - especially with such a fun and adventurous itinerary. His vibe was just wonderful and we were as reluctant to leave him as much as we were to leave Jogja! Overall, 1000/10 - couldn't have asked for more from this trip.

Review Body: We were incredibly lucky to stumble upon this hidden gem in Yogya! Getting here was a bit of a challenge with the steep roads, but the breathtaking views of tea and coffee plantations made it all worth it. Mbak Mar is truly remarkable; her passion for coffee is evident as she not only cultivates this unique blend herself but also involves the local community in its cultivation, resulting in a distinct chocolatey flavor. The quality of her coffee speaks for itself, having been rigorously tested in the lab! Here, we had the freedom to pick coffee beans (during harvest season) and plant coffee! all while being accompanied by Mbak Mar, who is knowledgeable and can answer any questions we have. Though her English is limited, she goes above and beyond to ensure her guests understand :) Will come back in 3 years to harvest my coffee plant :)

Review Body: I had a wonderful experience. The tubing place was closed due to high rainfall so the driver spoke to the head office and found a new location to go to and arranged everything. We even stopped at a coffee place on the way back to Jogja. Everyone was very friendly. I found it hard to accept that villagers pull you up at the end however I was told it is an additional income for farmers and it is an equitable system between the owner and the farmer. I helped pull some people up and had a chat with a farmer whilst pulling someone up. They were very friendly and kept saying thank you, although I don't think I helped much 🤣

Review Body: We had an absolutely fantastic day! Hanung and everyone in the village were so very welcoming. We had a lesson in Batik and a relaxed time attempting to master the skill. The following walk around the village to gather the fresh ingredients for our cooking lesson was a wonderful insight into villiage life. The meal we cooked together was so fresh and full of flavour and so delicious. Hanung was very generous in sharing his life and the history of the villiage and his area. It was wonderful getting to know Yogyakarta from a local. Thank you!

Review Body: Pak Krishna was our driver for 5days in Yogyakarta and we all loved him very much. He may be on the quieter side but we totally loved this side of him. He's very helpful and caring as well. E.g. we decided to hike without a guide at Gunung Api Purba Nglanggeran. He was worried for us and decided to hike with us at his own cost (entrance fee to hike). This was totally uncalled for and we are grateful to have him with us. Overall very satisfied experience and will recommend Pak Krishna to any of my friends who are visiting Yogyakarta soon! :)

Review Body: We had a really wonderful experience learning all about coffee starting from the sapling to the roasting and grinding using traditional methods. It was all hands on deck and it took me an hour to make the coffee. But, it made me appreciate each cup of coffee even more knowing the hard work that goes behind the scene. Ibu Mar and her husband are great teachers in the art of growing, roasting, and brewing coffee. Hartono is a really fantastic guide and I had a great time learning from him.

Review Body: It was a really great private experience, something very different and personal instead of the other touristic activities in Yogyakarta. If you like coffee and getting in touch with local people, this is your tour. Marwiyah and her friends are so welcoming, open and friendly and you feel that what they do, they do with heart and passion. The drive to the farm is impressive, you will pick your own coffee beans, roast and brew your own coffee in the traditional way. Perfect experience!

Review Body: Pak Krishna was our driver - picked us up on time, drove efficiently, felt safe, car was very clean. The cost per person may seem high, but it includes the Borobudur and Prambanan tickets (about $100 each) so it’s actually quite a bargain! We liked how we could take as much - or as little - time as we wanted. Lunch was also a lot better than I expected … we could order whatever we wanted from the menu and all included in the price.

Review Body: The tour was perfect! Budi (driver for today) arrived on time, drove safely and we got to Tumpeng Menoreh to see the sunrise. Then went to the coffee farm (Menoreh Coffee Farm) and met Marwiyah. The coffee roasting with traditional methods was definitely exciting (I have much to learn). Highly recommended! The early morning wakeup is worth it.

We loved both templos, a must visit if you come to Indonesia.The lunch was delicious, the restaurant had a beautiful view and was very relaxing seating by the rice fields. They were very good listings to our special request for gluten and MSG free dishes.

It is a circa 1 hour drive from yog, followed by approx 2 hours at the coffee plantation where we each planted a coffee tree, picked some beans, roasted them, ground them, and drank them! Everyone at the farm was very nice and we are all so glad we did it… and the coffee is really good.

Review Body: Don't miss this - the Hidden Cave Tubing was definitely the highlight of the day coming in with a close 2nd the Unique Gondola ride. The Guides on the tubing were fabulous - cannot speak too highly of them. If visiting Yogyakarta in the future we would opt for this again.
