Nam memulai pelayaran pertamanya pada tahun 2012 dengan ide sederhana: membagikan keindahan Teluk Halong sembari menjaga lingkungan dan komunitas lokal. Nam dan timnya telah bekerja keras untuk mengurangi sampah plastik—mengganti barang sekali pakai dengan alternatif yang bisa digunakan kembali, dan bahkan menyediakan botol air dari bambu di setiap kabin. Dia juga memimpin berbagai upaya pembersihan dan bekerja sama dengan pihak-pihak yang mendukung pelestarian teluk dan desa-desa sekitar. Pendekatannya yang penuh perhatian dan konsisten telah membantu Bhaya berkembang menjadi lebih dari sekedar pelayaran—sekarang sudah menjadi bagian dari tempat itu sendiri.
