So many emotions welled up as we followed the footsteps of those who once walked this legendary food trail — a symbol of resilience, a longing to reconnect with nature and community. It’s a route that, once conquered, leaves a lasting impression and an aching nostalgia for all who’ve journeyed through it. Nature along this 18km trail remains almost untouched, with ancient village homes dotting the path. The warm hospitality of the locals, especially during the homecoming meal, left our group deeply moved and reluctant to part ways with this unforgettable place.

Spending two days out in nature with no phone signal, no messages, no social media… it was a rare chance to unplug and really tune in to myself. Being away from all the noise made me realize how small we are compared to the vastness of nature and the universe. One of the moments that stuck with me the most was when our group sat together for over an hour under the cool mountain sky, just watching the moon. We played Hans Zimmer in the background, and everything felt so still. Turns out, the moon has always been there — it’s just whether we’re calm enough to notice how beautiful it is.

The hike up Langbiang was wonderful as well as a good challenge. Our lovely guide Bell really looked after us, packing tasty snacks to the top for us and arranging a fabulous lunch at a local restaurant at the end of the hike. We appreciated his patience and knowledge of the area. Biking through city traffic to the trailhead was a little nervewracking but Bell expertly sheparded us through it. All in all it was an excellent day. Thanks Bell!

Did the trek and SUP/Kayak with Fin. It ended up just being the 2 of us and it was great. The view at the top was worth all the huffing and puffing I had to do to get up there and the paddle around the lake was relaxing. Great time with Fin helping him practice his English and also get some insight into Vietnamese life.
