This tour takes you on unmarked trails to see remnants of Singapore’s past, which are less easy to find on your own. Furthermore, Darren is a knowledgeable and passionate guide, armed with props, maps, artefacts and history (and snacks!), that made for a richer and more fun experience. Although short, this is not quite the walk in the park, and hiking/trail shoes will definitely help! Highly recommend, even if you’re local!

Excellent tour of Telok Blangah and Mount Faber in cooperation with Leica. Darren the guide is knowledgeable, enthusiastic and brings the past alive in creative ways. Leica staff were great as were the cameras we had the privilege to use.

Incredible tour! Darren was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and I learned so much. I especially appreciated all the pictures and visuals he brought with him. He also brought us snacks, which was so kind! The hike was a bit muddy, but not too bad. Just make sure you are wearing good shoes.

I highly recommend this unique experience. Watching the performers get ready and being able to photograph them was a real treat. The chance to test Leica cameras was also a highlight, with a helpful representative on hand for any questions. Overall, it was a unique and fun experience that I highly recommend to anyone interested in opera, culture or photography.

Darren was incredible. Very knowledgeable about the area and the history. Kind, welcoming and supportive. The hike is for most fitness types but be sure to bring water. Your trainers will get muddy! Darren carries some small refreshments for you to enjoy along the way. Kelvin from Leica was great at helping out with any camera questions and a great addition to the tour. I would 100% recommend this as an off-the-beaten-track experience of Singapore - something that most will never experience. Plus the opportunity to use a Leica is an experience in itself.
