Full cave traverse with jungle treks, cave swims, and epic wild camping.
This is the only trek in Phong Nha that takes you across the legendary Tiger Cave system – including Hang Pygmy, the fourth largest cave in the world – all while camping in epic locations like one of the deepest sinkholes on Earth. Over three adventure full days, you’ll hike, swim, abseil, and scramble through the jungle and caves in an experience that’s more than just seeing the sights — it’s about conquering them. If you're someone who seeks untouched beauty, wild nature, and serious adventure – this one’s for you. Think jungle trails barely touched by others, massive underground chambers you'd swear aren't real, and camping in places that feel straight out of a sci-fi film. What makes it special? You won’t just be visiting caves – you’ll be trekking through an underground world few ever get to see, including Hang Pygmy, which is bigger than many city blocks and hides a tropical jungle inside. With porters to carry your gear and thoughtful touches like a sauna tent and herbal foot bath, this makes a tough trek feel just a little more indulgent. Can’t get a spot in Son Doong (the world's largest cave) or not keen on waiting 1–2 years for a booking? Exploring Hang Pygmy is your perfect gateway to ticking off a world-class cave from your bucket list — it’s massive, awe-inspiring, and much easier to book. It’ll still push your limits without the lengthy wait or the hefty price tag. Perfect for adventure seekers wanting something truly next-level, without the hassle. You’ll end the journey refreshed at a lodge with a pool and bikes to explore the tranquil countryside. Hard work never felt so rewarding. What to ExpectExplore Hang Pygmy — the fourth largest cave on the planetSwim through Tiger Cave’s underground river to reach your first camp deep inside Kong Collapse, one of the world’s deepest sinkholesAbseil into the heart of the cave system and trek 6.5km underground through Tiger Cave, Hang Over and Hang PygmyCamp under the stars in jaw-dropping locations few ever reachAmazing extras for comfort: sauna tent, massage gun, and herbal foot bath at campExperienced guides and support crew look after safety and carry 3kg of your belongingsFinish the trip with a stay at a peaceful travel lodge complete with pool access and bike rentalGood to KnowDifficulty level: 8.5/10This is a strenuous adventure – you’ll hike 21km, explore 6.5km of cave, swim 500m and abseil 20m, so good fitness is a mustYou must be comfortable with tight spaces, heights, swimming, and rugged terrainAll camping equipment and meals are provided – including hearty meals prepared by your camp crewExpect slippery slopes, river crossings, and leeches (but your guides are experts at dealing with all of this)Group trips run with a minimum of 2 people, so it may feel almost like a private tripTransfers included within Phong Nha and Dong Hoi areaPlease bring your own trekking shoes if your size is outside EU 37–45Facilities2 nights camping in the cave system with provided sleeping gear: single or double tents with foam mattress, blanket, and pillow.Composting toilets, kept clean and with all the essentials providedTent-sauna, massage gun and foot bath provided to soothe sore muscles1 night at a travel lodge with air-conditioned roomsSwimming pool access at the lodgeFree bike rental to explore the surrounding villageBreakfast included on departure morning
