Get a taste of real jungle thrill in just a day: trek, cave swim & lakeside BBQ
Looking for a proper jungle adventure in Phong Nha but only have a day? Get a taste of Phong Nha’s legendary adventure—this one-day trek packs in caves, swims, and cliff jumps, offering a thrilling glimpse into the region’s wild side without the full-on intensity of multi-day expeditions. It’s also the only day tour that includes free pick-up from Dong Hoi (about 50km away), making it super handy if you’re flying into Dong Hoi Airport or arriving via train at Dong Hoi Station. You can jump straight into the adventure without worrying about transfers or extra costs. You’ll trek deep into the lush heart of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, explore the enormous Elephant Cave, swim in the gorgeous Ma Da Lake, and float your way through the 600m-long Tra Ang water cave in total darkness—yes, headlamp on, floating on your back, and just soaking it all in. Add in a riverside BBQ lunch with the local speciality Moi Cheo and the chance to cliff jump into natural pools, and you’ve got a bucket-list worthy day. This is perfect for travellers who are short on time but want maximum adventure. Great for friends, couples, and families with kids over 9 who like a bit of challenge. Also a solid pick if you’re arriving from Dong Hoi and want to skip the crowds and go straight into nature. What to Expect9km of trekking through jungle trails in Phong Nha – Ke Bang National ParkExplore the mighty Elephant Cave, once a wartime stronghold for Vietnamese soldiers.
